This 2012 Toyota Tacoma came into Dale’s Auto Service for a comprehensive 65-point inspection, followed by a series of repairs to address important braking, steering, and suspension components.

Following our inspection, our technicians carried out a complete front brake service, replacing the brake pads, rotors, and calipers to help restore consistent braking performance. We also performed a full brake fluid flush to remove aging fluid and maintain proper hydraulic system operation.

Moving into the steering and suspension system, we replaced the left front wheel bearing, both front upper control arms, and the left front lower ball joint. These components play a critical role in maintaining proper wheel stability, steering response, and overall vehicle handling. Worn components can contribute to uneven tire wear, unwanted movement, and compromised driving performance.

With the mechanical repairs completed, we finished the service with a 4-wheel alignment to ensure the vehicle’s alignment angles were properly adjusted, helping promote even tire wear, predictable handling, and improved road stability.

At Dale’s Auto Service, we believe a thorough inspection is the foundation of every quality repair. Whether you’re driving a daily commuter, a work truck, or a weekend adventure vehicle, keeping your brakes, steering, and suspension in proper condition is essential to safety and reliability.

This classic 1963 Volkswagen Beetle came into the shop for a pre-alignment inspection—but unfortunately, it didn’t pass.

Before performing a wheel alignment, our technicians carefully inspect the vehicle’s steering and suspension components to ensure everything is in safe and serviceable condition. During the inspection, we found concerns that need to be addressed before an alignment can be performed accurately and safely.

Performing an alignment while worn, loose, or damaged components are still present can lead to inaccurate alignment results, premature tire wear, poor handling, and unnecessary costs for the vehicle owner. Addressing these concerns first helps ensure the alignment is completed properly and that the vehicle performs as it should on the road.

Our team will provide the customer with a detailed report outlining our findings, along with an estimate for the necessary parts and repairs. Once the recommended work has been completed, we can carry out a proper alignment and help ensure this classic Beetle is ready to drive safely and confidently.

At Dale’s Auto Service, we believe in inspecting thoroughly, explaining our findings clearly, and doing the job right the first time.

Performance vehicles like the Audi S6 are engineered to deliver an exceptional balance of power, handling, stability, and everyday comfort. However, even the most sophisticated suspension systems rely on proper wheel alignment to perform as intended.

This 2018 Audi S6 came into Dale’s Auto Service for a comprehensive 4-wheel alignment to ensure its suspension geometry is properly set and all four wheels are working together as they should.

A proper alignment involves much more than simply making sure the steering wheel is straight. Our alignment specialists evaluate and adjust key suspension angles, including camber, caster, and toe where applicable, to help optimize handling characteristics, steering response, straight-line stability, and tire contact with the road.

On a performance-oriented AWD sedan like the S6, maintaining proper alignment is especially important. Incorrect alignment angles can contribute to premature or uneven tire wear, steering pull, reduced handling precision, and unnecessary stress on suspension components.

Whether you’re commuting through the Lower Mainland, enjoying a weekend drive, or simply looking to protect your investment in a quality set of tires, proper wheel alignment plays a critical role in keeping your vehicle performing at its best.

At Dale’s Auto Service, wheel alignments are one of our specialties. From everyday commuters and luxury European vehicles to lowered performance cars and fully customized track setups, our experienced alignment technicians have the knowledge and equipment to get the job done right.

Looking to have your vehicle’s alignment checked or need a custom alignment setup? Give us a call to book your appointment!

Seasonal tire changeover season is officially here.

This 2026 Hyundai Venue Preferred is in the shop getting its seasonal tire changeover, making sure it’s properly prepared for the colder temperatures, wet roads, frost, snow, and changing driving conditions that come with winter.

Seasonal tire changes are about much more than just being ready for snow. As temperatures drop, the rubber compounds in all-season and summer tires can become harder and less effective, reducing traction when accelerating, cornering, and braking. Winter tires are designed to remain more flexible in colder temperatures, helping provide better grip and more predictable handling when road conditions become less forgiving.

Proper tires can make a major difference in stopping distance and vehicle control, especially during sudden braking, icy mornings, heavy rain, slush, or unexpected snowfall. Your tires are the only part of your vehicle actually contacting the road, so making sure the correct tires are installed and in good condition is one of the most important steps you can take for winter driving safety.

During a seasonal tire changeover, it’s also a good opportunity to check tire condition, tread depth, tire pressures, and look for any uneven wear that could indicate an alignment or suspension concern. Catching those issues early can help improve tire life, handling, and overall safety.

Winter is just around the corner, and now is the time to book before the seasonal rush begins. Don’t wait until the first snowfall to start thinking about winter tires.

Call Dale’s Auto Service at 604-530-9160 to book your seasonal tire changeover and make sure your vehicle is ready for the colder months ahead.

Two 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcats in the shop, both here for custom-spec 4-wheel alignments.

On one side, a white Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody. On the other, a black 2021 SRT Charger. Two completely different looks, same kind of attitude, and more than enough horsepower to make proper alignment numbers matter.

With vehicles like these, alignment isn’t just about getting everything “into the green.” Our custom-spec alignments are set up around the vehicle, its modifications, tire setup, ride height, and how the owner actually intends to drive it. Proper camber, caster, and toe settings can make a huge difference in steering response, straight-line stability, tire wear, and how confidently the car puts its power to the pavement.

White and black. Redeye and SRT. Yin & Yang, if you will.

Both dialed in and ready to hit the road.

1987 Nissan Sentra XE

This classic Sentra came into the shop with an electrical concern, so we started by diagnosing the vehicle for a parasitic draw.

After testing the system and tracing the source of the draw, we verified that the EGR vacuum solenoid was shorting internally. The faulty solenoid was replaced, eliminating the electrical issue and helping ensure the battery is no longer being unnecessarily drained while the vehicle is parked.

While the Sentra was with us, we also took care of a few additional items to help keep this nearly 40-year-old Nissan safe and road-ready.

Parasitic draw diagnosis
Faulty EGR vacuum solenoid located and replaced
Replacement lug nuts installed
Steering rack bellows boots replaced
Left front CV axle boot replaced
Right front CV axle boot replaced
Finished with a precision 4-wheel alignment

With the electrical issue repaired, the steering and axle components taken care of, and the alignment dialed back in, this Sentra is ready to head home and keep putting in the miles.

Need help tracking down an electrical issue, steering concern, suspension problem, or alignment issue? Dale’s Auto Service has the diagnostic equipment and experience to get to the source of the problem and get your vehicle back on the road properly.

This Z32 came through the shop for a major suspension overhaul, with the goal of tightening up the chassis, adding proper adjustability, and giving us the control needed to dial the alignment in correctly. On a car like the 300ZX Twin Turbo, especially one running upgraded suspension components, getting the geometry right matters just as much as installing the parts themselves.

We installed:
• Front upper control arms
• Rear upper control arms
• Adjustable tension rods
• Adjustable rear traction arms
• SPL HICAS delete kit
• SPL eccentric lockout kit

The HICAS delete removes the factory rear-wheel steering system, simplifying the rear suspension and giving a much more consistent, predictable setup. The adjustable arms and tension rods then allow us to properly fine-tune camber, caster and rear suspension geometry instead of being stuck within the limited factory adjustment range.

Once everything was installed, the 300ZX went onto the alignment rack for a complete 4-wheel alignment. With this many adjustable components, the final alignment is a critical part of the job. Every adjustment works together to make sure the car tracks properly, maintains good tire contact and feels stable and responsive behind the wheel.

A proper suspension setup is more than bolting parts onto the car. Installation, geometry and alignment all need to work together, especially on a chassis like the Z32.

2020 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in the shop for a custom-spec 4-wheel alignment built around both street driving and track use.

With a car as capable as the ZL1, alignment settings can make a huge difference in how the vehicle feels, especially when you’re trying to balance everyday drivability with sharper response and stability when the car gets pushed harder. Rather than simply setting everything to basic factory specifications and sending it out the door, we dialed this Camaro in with a custom alignment setup suited to how the vehicle is actually being driven.

For street use, the goal is to maintain predictable handling, stability and reasonable tire wear. For track use, we can adjust the alignment characteristics to improve turn-in, cornering grip and overall confidence at higher speeds. Finding the right balance between the two is where a properly performed custom alignment really matters.

Every alignment we perform is measured and adjusted carefully, taking the vehicle setup, suspension, tires and intended use into consideration.

Whether your car is completely stock, lowered, modified or regularly sees track time, we can build an alignment setup around your specific needs.

1998 Mitsubishi Delica JDM Van

This right-hand-drive Delica came into the shop for some much-needed front-end suspension work. We replaced the front control arms to restore proper suspension geometry, tighten up the front end, and address wear that can affect handling, tire wear, and overall stability.

Once the new control arms were installed, we finished the job with a precision 4-wheel alignment. Any time major suspension components are replaced, getting the vehicle properly aligned is a critical final step. It allows us to set the vehicle back within specification, make sure it tracks properly down the road, and help protect the tires from premature wear.

JDM vehicles like this 1998 Mitsubishi Delica are a little different from the everyday vehicles we see on the road, but our team is comfortable working with unique and imported platforms.

If your vehicle has loose or worn suspension components, uneven tire wear, steering concerns, or simply needs a proper alignment after repairs or modifications, Dale’s Auto Service has you covered.

This 1992 JDM Toyota Soarer came back into the shop for a ride height adjustment.

On its previous visit, we installed a new set of wheels and tires, and this time around the goal was to get the suspension height properly dialed in to suit the new setup.

Ride height plays a big role in more than just appearance. On a modified vehicle like this, the height needs to work with the wheel and tire combination while maintaining proper clearance, suspension travel, drivability, and overall balance.

Our team carefully adjusted the suspension to bring the Soarer to the desired height and clean up the overall stance, giving the new wheel and tire setup a much more finished look.

These older JDM cars have a ton of character, and it’s always cool seeing a Toyota Soarer come back through the shop as the build continues to evolve.

If your modified vehicle needs wheels and tires, suspension adjustments, ride height setup, or a precision 4-wheel alignment, give our team a call and get it booked in.

This 2001 Ford F-150 Lightning definitely knows how to make an entrance. Finished in a beautiful aqua green paint with a fully custom interior, this truck has a ton of personality and an incredible amount of detail throughout.

It came into the shop for a full brake system inspection after the owner wanted to make sure everything was operating properly and safely. After going through the braking system, we moved forward with replacing the brake pads and rotors on all four corners.

With a performance truck like the Lightning, having a properly functioning brake system is just as important as everything happening under the hood. Fresh pads and rotors help restore consistent braking performance, improve pedal feel, and make sure the truck is ready to be enjoyed with confidence.

We work on everything from daily drivers and work trucks to classics, performance builds, and fully customized vehicles like this one.

If your vehicle is due for a brake inspection, making noise, vibrating under braking, or simply doesn’t feel the way it used to, give Dale’s Auto Service a call and get it checked before a small issue turns into a much more expensive one.
