This 2017 Dodge Charger SRT 392 rolled into Dale’s Auto Service for some much-needed attention to its cooling system. With a powerful 6.4L HEMI V8 under the hood, maintaining proper engine operating temperatures is essential for reliability, performance, and long-term engine health. Our technicians carried out a water pump replacement along with the installation of a new thermostat to help ensure proper coolant circulation and temperature regulation throughout the engine. Following the component replacements, we performed a complete cooling system flush to remove old coolant and contaminants before refilling the system with fresh, manufacturer-specified coolant. We then completed the final bleeding procedure to remove trapped air from the cooling system, an important step in preventing air pockets, inconsistent coolant circulation, and potential overheating issues. Once everything was completed, our technicians brought the engine up to operating temperature, followed by a final test drive to evaluate cooling system performance under real-world driving conditions. Why is cooling system maintenance so important? High-performance engines like the 6.4L HEMI generate significant heat, especially under demanding driving conditions. A failing water pump, sticking thermostat, or neglected coolant can compromise the cooling system’s ability to regulate engine temperatures. Addressing these concerns helps protect critical engine components and reduces the risk of costly overheating-related repairs. Whether you’re driving a high-performance SRT, a daily commuter, or a weekend project, keeping your cooling system properly maintained is an important part of protecting your investment. This classic 1963 Volkswagen Beetle came into the shop for a pre-alignment inspection—but unfortunately, it didn’t pass. Before performing a wheel alignment, our technicians carefully inspect the vehicle’s steering and suspension components to ensure everything is in safe and serviceable condition. During the inspection, we found concerns that need to be addressed before an alignment can be performed accurately and safely. Performing an alignment while worn, loose, or damaged components are still present can lead to inaccurate alignment results, premature tire wear, poor handling, and unnecessary costs for the vehicle owner. Addressing these concerns first helps ensure the alignment is completed properly and that the vehicle performs as it should on the road. Our team will provide the customer with a detailed report outlining our findings, along with an estimate for the necessary parts and repairs. Once the recommended work has been completed, we can carry out a proper alignment and help ensure this classic Beetle is ready to drive safely and confidently. At Dale’s Auto Service, we believe in inspecting thoroughly, explaining our findings clearly, and doing the job right the first time. Dale’s Auto Service (604) 530-9160 We Won’t Steer You Wrong.

Performance vehicles like the Audi S6 are engineered to deliver an exceptional balance of power, handling, stability, and everyday comfort. However, even the most sophisticated suspension systems rely on proper wheel alignment to perform as intended. This 2018 Audi S6 came into Dale’s Auto Service for a comprehensive 4-wheel alignment to ensure its suspension geometry is properly set and all four wheels are working together as they should. A proper alignment involves much more than simply making sure the steering wheel is straight. Our alignment specialists evaluate and adjust key suspension angles, including camber, caster, and toe where applicable, to help optimize handling characteristics, steering response, straight-line stability, and tire contact with the road. On a performance-oriented AWD sedan like the S6, maintaining proper alignment is especially important. Incorrect alignment angles can contribute to premature or uneven tire wear, steering pull, reduced handling precision, and unnecessary stress on suspension components. Whether you’re commuting through the Lower Mainland, enjoying a weekend drive, or simply looking to protect your investment in a quality set of tires, proper wheel alignment plays a critical role in keeping your vehicle performing at its best. At Dale’s Auto Service, wheel alignments are one of our specialties. From everyday commuters and luxury European vehicles to lowered performance cars and fully customized track setups, our experienced alignment technicians have the knowledge and equipment to get the job done right. Here’s a cool one for you guys we didn’t get to share earlier. We will have more updates on this one stay tuned🌴 This 1967 Volkswagen vintage truck came into the shop today for a complete steering and suspension inspection. Yes with the surfboard on the roof🏄‍♂️ With a vehicle of this age, checking the condition of the steering and suspension system is especially important. Over time, components such as bushings, ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, shocks, steering linkage and other wear items can develop excessive play or deterioration that affects handling, tire wear and overall safety. Our inspection allows us to go through the system carefully, identify any worn or damaged components and make sure this classic Volkswagen is safe, predictable and driving the way it should. Whether it’s a modern daily driver or a vintage vehicle that has been on the road for nearly 60 years, a proper steering and suspension inspection is the first step toward keeping it driving properly for years to come.

Seasonal tire changeover season is officially here. This 2026 Hyundai Venue Preferred is in the shop getting its seasonal tire changeover, making sure it’s properly prepared for the colder temperatures, wet roads, frost, snow, and changing driving conditions that come with winter. Seasonal tire changes are about much more than just being ready for snow. As temperatures drop, the rubber compounds in all-season and summer tires can become harder and less effective, reducing traction when accelerating, cornering, and braking. Winter tires are designed to remain more flexible in colder temperatures, helping provide better grip and more predictable handling when road conditions become less forgiving. Proper tires can make a major difference in stopping distance and vehicle control, especially during sudden braking, icy mornings, heavy rain, slush, or unexpected snowfall. Your tires are the only part of your vehicle actually contacting the road, so making sure the correct tires are installed and in good condition is one of the most important steps you can take for winter driving safety. During a seasonal tire changeover, it’s also a good opportunity to check tire condition, tread depth, tire pressures, and look for any uneven wear that could indicate an alignment or suspension concern. Catching those issues early can help improve tire life, handling, and overall safety. Winter is just around the corner, and now is the time to book before the seasonal rush begins. Don’t wait until the first snowfall to start thinking about winter tires. Call Dale’s Auto Service at 604-530-9160 to book your seasonal tire changeover and make sure your vehicle is ready for the colder months ahead. We won’t steer you wrong.
