If someone had told little Irene that one day she'd grow up to be a herbal witch, teaching adults about plants from a treehouse overlooking a lake...👀

...she probably would've replied:
"YES PLEASE, that's what I want to be when I grow up!" 🌳✨

Last month I was invited to facilitate a sustainable incense-making workshop at @equilibriofestival .

When I arrived and discovered my "classroom" was a treehouse nestled among the branches, my inner child couldn't stop smiling! 😍

We spent the afternoon exploring local aromatic plants, crafting smudge sticks, sharing stories, and remembering that the best classrooms don't have four walls. 😉

Thank you to everyone who joined this leafy little adventure, to @filmluar for her shots, to @terradpaz for welcoming us into her heart and waters. 🧚🏻‍♀️ And to @helenascleonardo & the rest of Equilibrio's dream team for having me and envisioning such a magical experience!

It was a soup. A cosmic soup.

The lake felt like soup.
My mattress was sweat soup.
Time was soup.
The experiences blended together like the ingredients of a soup — hazy, surreal, almost as if they had never happened on this plane.

Waking Life was a soup. A cosmic soup.

Like the alphabet soup my grandmother used to make us: nourishing, comforting, full of funky flavours, impossible to replicate even when you know all the ingredients... because it carried that special kind of love and intention that can't be copied.

Turns out I enjoy reliving memories almost as much as creating them. 🎞️
And some memories deserve a second bloom... 🪷

Here's a little rewind to MudRe Terra Festival back in late May. 🤍 To its music, its people, its magnificent old oak tree, its straw dancefloor (and wheelbarrow refills), its lake, its ambient cuddles, and our lil market family.

🌱 🌱 Lucid Listening — A B2B Ambient DJ Set by @dalua.irene × @whoismeta_, with Live Vocals by Meta_

We're so grateful to @layers.lisbon for giving us the space (and trust!) to bring this little dream to life, inside the beautiful greenhouse of @a.verdejar, at @jardinsdobombarda 🌳

The idea was simple: to transform a greenhouse into a cosy listening nest, where people could lie down amongst the plants, close their eyes, soften, slow down, and journey through sound. 🪺 Music for both plants and humans, exploring the threshold between waking and sleeping.

The experience unfolded after @dalua.irene's workshop on plant allies for lucid dreaming. Everyone crafted their own dream tea to sip as we transitioned from the herbal to the musical, weaving both into one continuous journey. 🫖🎶

It was an honour to hold space for rest, inner landscapes, deep listening, and all those liminal places we don't often give ourselves permission to visit. 🌙

We loved creating this experience together so much that we'll be releasing the live recording soon. Stay tuned. 👀

As daylight softens into evening, the greenhouse becomes a space for slowing down. A herbalist with a passion for music and a musician who loves nature meet to guide you on a gentle immersive soundscape. Lie down, soften the senses and be carried by sound..

Following the Dream Plants tea ritual, guests are invited to remain (or arrive) for an ambient listening experience.

Together @dj_aluada @dalua.irene and @whoismeta_ weave a living soundscape where spacious ambient textures, subtle voice and deep bass create an atmosphere for rest, contemplation and imagination.

Inspired by the quiet intelligence of plants, the experience invites us to listen from a different perspective: one that doesn't rush or seek stimulation, but merely receives, attunes, and grows. Like a plant nourishing itself from light, moisture, gravity and vibration.

What if the plants that guard our sleep could teach us how to rest?

That's the question @dalua.irene is bringing to Layers, through a workshop on rest, dreaming, and the botanical allies that guard the space between.

Irene Miranda, herbalist and founder of Da Lua Herbals, brings folk herbalism, ritual and ecology together into spaces built for deeper listening.

In this sensorial experience, you'll discover aromatic and medicinal plants traditionally tied to rest, dreaming, and the liminal hours before sleep, exploring their folklore and traditional uses through storytelling, scent and tea tasting.

You'll leave with a personalised dream tea blend, made from your own intuition and intention.

For those who want to stay a little longer, the session unfolds into an ambient greenhouse soundscape. More on this soon!

@dalua.irene joins us at Agua Terra Gathering. 🧚🏼

Through @casa.vermelha.v, her studio and community space, she crafts medicine by hand. Find her in the market, offering what she makes or in the wild too, leading a workshop on wild herbal tea.

She will guide us into relationship with the land at the Mojo. We learn to name the plants growing beside us. We taste what grows wild and let it nourish us.

Some experiences feel very much at the heart of what Vinculum is about.

Our walk along the Levada do Piscaredo with PorTrilhos, followed by Irene Miranda’s incense workshop with Da Lua Herbals, was a beautiful way to slow down, connect with Mondim’s landscape, and learn from the plants growing around us.

Somos muitas, somos muitos 🌹✊🏻🎶

As Mulheres de Negro do @incorporacao.lab vieram de Sintra (e além!), vestiram-se de vermelho, arregaçaram saias e mangas, aqueceram as vozes e os adufes.

Os coros de norte a sul do país uniram-se numa só voz e marcharam como @primaveradoscoros.

Cantámos muito. Com amigas, amores, família, camaradas, conhecidos e desconhecidos. Desde manhãzinha pela noite dentro. Atravessando a cidade.

Voltei a cantar com o meu querido @corodosanjos no Rossio e na @fabricabracodeprata. E com as manas do @incorporacao.lab avenida abaixo.

Celebrei e dancei as liberdades. Ri, chorei, suei, arrepiei-me e abracei. Na labuta do coração-canção em revolução.
