Les œufs brouillés :
Our creamy scrambled eggs available vegetarian

La brioche perdue :
The new french toast with strawberries & pistachio

Le yaourt :
The yogurt plate with granola and candied rhubarb

Le croque Ginette :
A classic of the house, if not your favorite ! Toasted croissant filled and topped with a fried egg. Vegetarian version is as good as the one with ham 🥬🧀

Some places are built around food. Others are built around the moments we share around it.

Dame Ginette is a French-Basque bistrot and boulangerie on Östra Förstadsgatan in Malmö—a warm and welcoming place where Swedish ingredients meet French traditions.

At the heart of Dame Ginette is a simple belief: good food and good times are meant to be shared.

That idea feels very close to the journey I am building.

London to Malmö – 84.4 km of Hope may be measured in kilometres, but it is really a journey about people choosing to share something—time, encouragement, kindness or support—with someone else.

On 3 October, I will run my first marathon here in Malmö. Through A Kilometre of Hope, we are inviting businesses, organisations and individuals to become the Companion for one of its 42 kilometres, with every contribution supporting CCLG – Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group.

I am delighted that Dame Ginette has chosen to join the journey as the Companion for kilometre 37.

By that stage of the marathon, every kilometre will matter. When I reach kilometre 37, I will know that Dame Ginette is walking beside me in spirit—and that this part of the race carries hope for children and young people facing a far greater challenge than a marathon.

Thank you to everyone at Dame Ginette for becoming part of the journey and helping us show that none of us needs to face the difficult kilometres alone.

Kilometre 37 belongs to Dame Ginette.

Det här är ett ställe som alla verkar prata om i Malmö just nu.

På Slussen hittar du @dameginette.malmo , ett franskt bageri och bistrot med familjehistoria, charm och väldigt mycket själ.

Bakom stället står Lea och Damien från franska Baskien. Namnet kommer från Leas mormor Ginette, som arbetade i sin morfars bageri i Frankrike. När Lea och Damien senare öppnade sitt eget ställe i Malmö fick bageriet bära hennes namn.

Det är varmt, personligt och långt från det klassiskt skandinaviska och avskalade.

Jag har varit här flera gånger tidigare, men den här gången testade jag deras brunch med deras nya brunch-meny och den håller verkligen hög nivå.

Mina favoriter blev framför allt äggrätterna, särskilt äggröran med Comté och croissanten med ägg och fyllning. Men även yoghurten med hemmagjord granola och rabarber överraskade mig, och deras brioche French toast var söt utan att bli tung.

Sen har vi såklart bakverken. Éclair, Paris-Brest, gräddbulle med bär och säsongsbaserade viennoiserier, exakt sånt jag älskar.

Så om du vill äta en riktigt bra brunch i Malmö, eller bara testa något mer franskt, personligt och genomtänkt, då tycker jag verkligen att du ska besöka Dame Ginette.
