LIGHT + WATER PT. 1 (2023)

Yesterday, my friend @mvstermind said something that made me think, "Here in St. Louis, we are great at creating, not as great at promoting". And it made me think I need to revisit some of the work and collaborations I'm really proud of. So I have decided to post “LIGHT + WATER”, the short film from 2023, featuring @rockwellknuckles @alohamisho @bloomarcana @sireddiec @zahdough that accompanied my Album “Lake of Dreams”. I'm posting in 3 parts. Lake of Dreams vinyl available on my store, hit the link in bio. by @damondavis

I did a thing for a friend. So I made a mix of some beats and words. Link in bio. Enjoy.

Arrow Radio: A Beat Tape. This mix was originally created for Arrow Radio, is a pirate radio station project sponsored by @counterpublic and artistically directed by @dailchambers . It features a 24-hour broadcast, a physical radio room, an arrowhead sculpture, and music/oral tradition programming. #beattape #contemporary_art #midwest #music #blackart by @damondavis

Market Street Opening Celebration in downtown St. Louis. Powered by @greatriversstl

I stopped by the grand opening @harrisstowe and the city showed up. This new Brickline Greenway stretch connects neighborhoods across STL and makes it easier to walk, bike, and experience the city.

It also extends Pillars of the Valley west from Energizer Park—shoutout to @damondavis for the powerful installation honoring local history.

A new mural by St. Louis ArtWorks teens honoring the St. Louis Stars now lives at Stars Park, and the vibes were there with @bougiebitesstl plus @scoopsstl .

This is bigger than a trail. It’s connection, culture, and the future of STL.
