On March 7th, 2021, through prayer, I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart and gave my life to Him. Since that day, my perspective on life has completely changed. I’ve learned the importance of loving and serving others as Jesus did. I’ve started to recognize the many blessings He’s given me through my family, friends, hockey, and business journey.

On May 4th, 2025, I was baptized solidifying my faith in Jesus Christ. A huge thank you to Cliffe Knechtle and his family for their guidance and for leading the baptism.

While I know my walk with Jesus won’t be easy and there will be challenges along the way, I’m excited to continue this journey with Him for the rest of my life.

I’d like to take the opportunity to celebrate the life of my good friend, Jacob Winterton. A core memory I have with him was our journey in 2018. I was fortunate enough to play on the same team as him in minor hockey and high school, alongside sharing the ice with him as line mates.

Every hockey player knows that one player they’ve played with who made them a better hockey player and helped elevate them to who they are now. That player was Jacob for me. His skill, hockey IQ, and ability to put the puck in the net were one of a kind, and I am beyond grateful to have been a part of it. As the year went on, we were able to win both minor hockey and high school championships, which was very special for us and something we got to share together.

But our true bond came from carpooling and driving to practice every week. Although every time I drove, Jacob would demand the aux, we would blast our favourite song Womanizer by Britney Spears, sing along to every lyric, and reminisce about life.

Jacob was a person who showed love, kindness, and compassion all the time, no matter what the circumstances were.

I know you’re in a much happier place, and Jesus is looking after you.

Words cannot express how humbled and grateful I am for all the support you’ve shown for Jacob. We have raised over $5,000 for the event. None of this would’ve happened without you all!
