Red-browed Finches ❤️
I have struggled to get a decent shot of these guys for the longest time, so I was ecstatic to get a chance to capture 2 together and nail a pretty nice shot! 😍
Little birds cosying up to one another is just about the best thing ever.

Australasian Grebe chick hitching a ride ❤️
I was so lucky to capture this beautiful moment down at the lake by my house the other day.
Not captured: the chick getting yeeted off everytime the parent shook the water off their face 👀🐥
Spring has sprung, people! Baby birds are everywhere right now, so keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the cuteness overload (and be careful of magpies and lapwings!)

Silvereyes 💛🩶🤍
I heard these two chirping in a dense thicket and knew if I was patient they'd eventually come into view... Little did I know it would be over 30 mins 😅
I'm glad I waited though so I could capture this special moment 😍 they were cuddling and preening each other for ages and didn't mind me being there at all.
A rare opportunity to get so close to one of my favourite birds!
With the weather getting cooler, I've been seeing more little birds cuddle up together for warmth, and fluffing up into little puffballs 🥲

A sweet Pale Yellow Robin having a quick worm snack
.
Thank God for Lightroom, which helped extract an OK-ish photo out of this 1 million ISO mess taken in a dark rainforest 😅📷
Also how is it that I only just noticed the second half of the worm down on the ground 👀

Brown Thornbill 🤎
.
One of many LBBs (little brown birds) that haunt my mind when it's time to ID 😅
.
This charming fella was nice enough to choose these sweet little ferns to perch on, giving a really sweet and dreamy background to this portrait 💚🌿

In the field, I didn't have a clue!!! 😅 It wasn't until I did a bit of research that I figured it out.
