My project for "Nature Perspectives" has been shortlisted for the 12th Hiii Illustration International Awards from @hiiibrand

I was fortunate to work with Nature Perspectives, an inspiring initiative that harnesses AI for nature conservation. Thank you @gal_zanir for the trust and opportunity 🌱

This project invites visitors to converse with museum exhibits, ask them questions, and hear answers from the exhibits’ own point of view.

This series of illustrations (created without AI) - were part of a proposal for a collaboration with the Natural History Museum, London, offering a fresh way to experience the natural world through the eyes of its treasures.

About the illustrations:
💦 Hope the whale - a skeleton of a blue whale - and the museum icon, displayed in the main hall. Illustration brought her back to life, the orange lines represent her communication between her and the visitors.

💦 Children silhouettes - Emphasising Hope’s immense scale and the wonder she inspires in young viewers.

💦 Baobab tree - represents the guiding pillars of Nature Perspective : "Kinship - Fostering profound, personal connections with the natural world. "
With growth, nurture and appreciation - comes the fruits.

This is my illustration for the new year. In this heartbreaking reality I wish for a better future - for peace. May the kids run free and happily in the fields.

A bit late I know, but here's my #dtiys for #Izpitca30 by @iz.ptica!

I decided to mess around with a slightly different style. All that wild hair had to be free and loose! My hubby always said that he prefers when I draw with a loose hand. So I'm giving it a go. Let's see where it goes!
P.S. My hair is very long and is literally EVERYWHERE. Maybe that's what drawn me to this challnge, that and the double bass! .

I’ve always admired the local mermaid pods 🧜‍♀️ Swimming daily, whatever the Irish weather throws at them.

This illustration is a new take on an old piece of mine, inspired by the Christmas swims in the chilly Atlantic. Now that I live even closer to the ocean, I’m tempted to join them for more regular dips and maybe make more illustrations in this spirit. What say you?

Fancy making a splash on your wall?
If so you can find these prints at @designbank_miltown in Miltown Malbay.

And while we’re at it, this is my entry for @slowdownstudio

9 months in, 9 months out. Equal parts wild and completely surreal. I created this illustration to capture the dawn of your arrival, in awe of the journey that brought you to our arms here on earthside, my precious child.

If there’s a moment from your birth journey you’d like to bring into an image, I’d love to transform those precious memories into something new to cherish.

I have a limited number of custom commissions available, so you’re very welcome to reach out via DM whenever the time feels right.

End-of-summer vibes, me holding a framed house portrait 🏡✨ Swipe left to see it soaking up the sun.

A little throwback to last summer, this illustration was created as the main branding image for the @sketching_club_clare exhibition, snapped here right before heading to its new home.

As a private person, stepping in front of the camera - and sharing my work without overthinking it, doesn't come naturally. But I’m working on showing my face more and yes, trusting the process.

✏️ Custom house portrait commissions are currently open, send a message to book yours, limited spots available.

A little behind-the-scenes story

I created this illustration for @sketching_club_clare 's exhibition last summer. It became part of the event branding, and a framed print found a new home on the very first opening day.

Fast forward to packing another copy for its new owner, and I somehow managed to stain the print, even though that I thought I was very careful with it. But hey I made a reel out of it!

Don't you worry, a fresh clean print replaced it, and the stained one stayed on my side.

This house portrait is based on the lovely corner local flower shop in Ennistymon - one of those buildings full of character that deserves to be drawn and remembered.

I'll be opening my books for custom house portrait commissions from September, once the kids are back at school. If you've been thinking about capturing a home with a special story, I'd love to hear from you.

This illustration is based on a childhood photograph of me and my beloved Abuela. Around the time of the peace agreement between Israel and Jordan (1994), our school invited the pupils to respond creatively to the idea of peace. Each child was given a small piece of cloth and was asked to create an artwork reflecting the theme for a joint school exhibition.

My Abuela, who had sewing and drawing running in her veins, joined the challenge. Together we decided upon the design. I remember my grandma ever so patiently teaching me different stitches, and I was so pleased with the little girl's waving skirt, plaiting the girl's dark hair and putting tiny bows on it, sitting side by side in my Abuela's study.

The photograph captures the moment we finished our art piece - about peace. We were both proud and delighted with the outcome. I cherish this memory.

In her lifetime, mi querida Abuela was a dedicated, generous, and talented teacher who was oh so patient, full of grace - she was a true lady. She was a lighthouse, a beam of love that always shone for her family. And yes, alongside it all, she was also a cabeza dura at times.

She passed away two years ago, after a long lived life, at the age of 98, surrounded by her loved ones. I created this illustration to honour her special presence in my life. This piece holds both personal value and a quiet reflection on my upbringing, memory, and hope, echoing the enduring wish for peace.

Querida Abuela, may your memory be a blessing

A sketch I made during @sketching_club_clare meetup for the Hebrew New Year.
(Apples are one of the holiday's symbols)
May this year be filled with kindness - towards ourselves and one another.
A year of compassion and humility.
A year of learning how to listen more deeply.
May we sow seeds of connection and build bridges between people.
Let it be a year of light.

הכנתי פרחים לחג,
שיהיה לכולנו, חג חירות שמח.
פרחים לכולם.

I made flowers for Passover.
It's a common tradition to give flowers during the jewish holidays and Sabbath. Trying to pass it on.
Chag Pesach Sameach.

Happy Easter too!
