I can’t believe I’ve been organizing women’s circles since 2012. So grateful that I was able to capture some of the beautiful moments 🎥. It has been an honour and joy to meet so many soul sisters along the way🔥! I hope to keep sharing Women’s Circles for another 12 years!

Do you long to be part of a safe, sacred space where movement/dance supports you in accessing deeper states of connection and joy?

Here are two ways you can experience these gatherings:

1. Join our newsletter (link in bio) to find out about upcoming Women’s Dance Circles.

2. If you are a coach, therapist, yoga teacher, or someone already supporting women in a holistic way, but craving new tools to deepen your work I have an opportunity for you.

Soon I’ll be opening the next cohort for my facilitator training.

This program is for you if you feel called to:

Weave together music, therapeutic movement, conscious dance, ritual, and expressive arts to offer women’s dance circles to your community? .If you’re ready to step into this next level of your journey, I’d love to connect with you. Drop me a Dm

A big hug,
Liz

Another essential building block to hosting a successful dance circle is continuity.

Continuity from the title of your dance, to language you use to promote your event, to music you choose ,to movement and journaling prompts, to your venue and altar….basically all parts of your event should weave a seamless intention. This type of continuity helps participants settle more deeply into the experience of the dance.

What is the first essential element to creating a dance circle???? Hint it’s not the music.

I’ve been hosting dance circles since 2012 and what I have learned to be the most important is containment.

I.e. What makes a movement space feel trustworthy?
When I talk about how containment I’m not just referring to the physical dance space, it also includes
the pacing of your event, is it appropriate for your audience, does the language give participants agency…. the language you use
invitation versus direction. Is there clarity about what people can expect even before they arrive? All of these pieces and many more weave together to support people to feel safe enough to drop into their experience. And honestly I think this one of the things I think facilitators often underestimate.

Have you been to a dance circle where you felt like the containment was off? How did it make you feel? Did you go back?? by @dancehealtransform

As we move into a new season, I'm inviting you to slow down, turn inward and explore the transition through movement.

I've created a simple self-guided dance journey to help you connect with your body and the energy of autumn.

You can do it on your own or share the experience with a small group of women/folks in your community.

Dancing Into Autumn is currently available through presale for $33CAD

I've shared all the details in my latest newsletter, including what's included and how to join.

📩 Check your inbox or find the newsletter through the link in my bio.

🍂 As we approach the Fall Equinox, we often find ourselves rushing to figure out “what’s next” in our lives, relationships, or work. But what if we followed nature’s cues and paused and let our bodies lead the way through the change instead?
In my new substack article, I’m sharing a simple, 1-song movement practice and journaling prompt to help you navigate the in-between spaces of this season.
👉 Click the link in my bio to read the full piece and try the practice today!
💬 P.S. I’m creating new resources for facilitating dance circles! Which would help you more right now?
Learning the foundational skills of facilitating a circle OR
Getting ready-to-use themed resources (like a fully planned Dancing With Transitions session)?

What if dance could help us build more community and a sense of belonging?

So much of modern life keeps us feeling disconnected from one another. Loneliness and isolation are affecting so many people.

But gathering to move together is not a new idea.

For thousands of years, people have used dance to celebrate, grieve, mark transitions, connect, create ritual, and simply be together.

The dance circle is an ancient practice, and perhaps one we need to bring back into our communities.

A dance circle can be simple:

Come as you are.
Move your body.
Share space with others.
Be part of something.

In my latest substack I write about why this is important and what possibilities it can create for our communities.

Read the full article on Substack, link in bio or check your inbox if you’re already subscribed. 💌

Have you been feeling called to bring a dance circle to your own community?

Maybe you’ve imagined gathering people together, creating a welcoming space, and offering movement as a way to connect, express, and simply be together.

If you’ve been wondering how to begin, what to offer, or how to hold the space, I’ve been holding space for these questions for 12 plus years in my role as a facilitator and for the last 8 years as I support other facilitators through training and mentorship to step into the role of space holders.

And if you’ve been feeling that call to gather people in your community, I’d love to hear what you’re imagining. Drop me a dm

Want to deepen your facilitation skills?

I’m now offering my Women’s Dance Circle Facilitator Training as a private 1:1 mentorship.

Learn how to use movement, dance, ritual, expressive arts, embodied practices, music, and group facilitationto create meaningful experiences for the communities you serve.

Together, we can explore how to:
✨ Design and structure movement experiences
✨ Create meaningful dance journeys and curate music
✨ Facilitate embodied and expressive practices
✨ Incorporate ritual, reflection, and integration
✨ Develop ethical and supportive facilitation skills
✨ Build confidence in leading your own offerings

The training is fully personalized around your experience, interests, and intentions. We’ll focus on the skills most relevant to the work you want to create.

You don’t need to have a formal dance background. This is about learning how to facilitate through movement, not teaching dance technique.

Interested in exploring the mentorship and getting access to my 14 years experience of hosting women’s dance circles?

DM me “MENTORSHIP” and I’ll send you the details and a few questions to see if it’s a good fit.

Xo,
Liz
