realizing my birthday is next week already. time flies man. 🪰 it feels good to be setting goals, and settling into all the small things that give me joy. No way is there a right way to do this shit, but boy is it fun to be the writer of my own story.
🎢Even with changes that don't feel the best, (or just feel poopy all together), at the very same time, I get to find what does feel good too..

So on that note, I'm starting a new journey of adding a minor to my SDSU progress.. and I'm so stoked for it. (why do I love school so much😂)

oh.. hey! I forgot to tell y'all. I finally received my BFA in Dance over the summer of 2025!🕺🏾
.. but also... if you know me at all.. you know that I don't want to stop learning.
So.. Surprise!! I'm going back to school to major in Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies. 📚 🏳️‍🌈♀️🌎
I'm forever a student of life. I don't neeeed degrees, I just enjoy the journey(s) to get them.. and that shit makes me happy.
so... Cheers! to another chapter of learning ! 🥂

got to work for the famous @kalikoshawaiiankitchen this weekend at @ssbdfest :) so much fun. most of my pictures are from the night time, but there was lots of sunshine too!
✨Third fest going almost completely alone, and I'm
loving it.

It's been pretty cool to be given opportunities to face my fears and uncertainties of committing to multiple days of camping and partying w all new faces and new terrain.
I love getting to meet ppl of all flavors, and also run into some long lost homies too..

let's just say, I'm in my healing era. Last year I had to skip one of my favorite things to do (hsmf), and it honestly broke my heart. I was very depressed about it, (among other things, iykyk)
but this year.. not only did I get to go, but I got to go ALONE. No one to hold me back, no one to have to communicate about running to see a new band, no one to have to share decisions about meals, no one to share a messy tent, no one to wonder about where they are, no one to fight with..
••it was just ME. of course some friends were out there old and new 😍 (you know who you are)
the people, the music, the food, the scenery, the magic in the air..
••what an experience to take it all in solo. 🥹🥹
just a taste of what journeys I'll get to do next year on the road!!
thank you @highsierramusic for making magic every single year. this was my 6th and it just gets better n better.

San Diego comin through.✌🏽 the protest "ended" at 12, but the community went on for hours to continue speak up and show up. ❤️

- pls continue to educate yourself on what is right. it's so important to not be blind to the shit goin on and be informed so we don't repeat or start new bullshit patterns. if you live in the United States, this affects you. if you have a family, this should matter to you. if you have a heart, pls speak up..wherever you are. 🌎

it honestly gets exhausting posting every year-reflecting on how grief feels differently or even how it feels the same..
especially when I know it's just gonna keep going...
we gotta STILL grieve and move forward w our lives..

he's STILL not here, and I STILL have to process every new version of myself with out including him.

but I remind myself:
Every version of me may not include new versions of him, but I do always carry who he was to me when he was around. and I think that's so important to who I become every day. . .

shout out to my mama. she radiates with beauty literally everywhere she goes. I mean, look at all these photos!! She knows exactly how to bring joy in any room she's in just by existing🌷🌷

I have learned so much from her- just by being her authentic self. I am proud that I get to look up to her daily and to be lucky enough to get her as my mom and my bestie.

She used to wake us up for Saturday chores by blasting Carole King's Beautiful—which sometimes annoyed us at the time 😆. But now, when I play that song, I’m reminded of what it truly means to be beautiful, "as I feel.." 🎶
