I forgot to post about this, but I've just edited my first ever Anthology of short stories!

It took a few momths, we received 430 submissions and selected 20 wonderful pieces that show a wide range of Science Fiction.

I'm really proud of how well it turned out, and it feels amazing to hold a physical copy.

It's free to read for members or the BSFA, and non-members can find it on amazon.

Thank you very much for the authors who trusted me with their stories, Gene for co-editing with me, and for the BSFA for trusting me to edit it! by @danforthrick

It's been 5 months since the last time but I can now pick up Samuel again properly! It's the little things that count. by @danforthrick

I'm both overwhelmed and incredibly grateful to find out that I'm a finalist in 4 different categories for the British Science Fiction Awards this year.

Thank you to everyone who helped get these works out into the world!

And congratulations to everyone else nominated. It's a hell of a list. by @danforthrick

Got an early Christmas present! After 3 weeks it's clunky and slow but incredible to put weight on it again.

Goals for 2026 are to play football with Sam and be able to walk the dog again. Genuinely can't wait for both.

(For those who missed it, I fully tore the achilles by running up a hill without warming up. 0/10 wouldn't recommend.) by @danforthrick

I got silver in Catch Wrestling Worlds Championships in over 100kg.

I had a great performance in the semi, but a shoulder injury meant I couldn't compete in the final.

Not the medal I wanted, but I'm happy with my performance and can't wait to come back next year. @snakepitwigan put on a hell of show.

Cheers to everyone at @carlsongraciehull for the coaching and cornering. by @danforthrick

A few pictures and reels from my bronze medal match at @adccuk on the weekend.

None from the semi as all I have from that is things to work on!

Bronze today in +100kg Pro Division at ADCC British Open.

First match didn't show, lost the semi-final to a great opponent and then ground out a win for the bronze.

I feel I should have shown more but not the worst for a middle aged IT Manager!

Cheers to @iseeyoureweak and @vanrijjohn for cornering and getting them to delay my match while I sprinted from the car park!

We now have a two year old!

His favourite things are farm animals and tractors, so we took him to a petting zoo and got him a sit on tractor!

Not entirely sure how he's two year's old, but can't wait for what the next year holds. by @danforthrick

Took gold today in @adccuk UK Championships - Advanced 100kg Masters.

Straight to the final, but won on points with a dominant performance against an experienced black belt.

Solid trip out representing @carlsongraciehull

Had my second win on @submissionseriesofficial two weeks back.

Got a quick takedown, had a few sub attempts but couldn't get the finish. Nearly got caught by a sneaky toe hold, but got a strong decision win.

2 - 0 on a big show is a great start to the year.

Cheers to everyone at @carlsongraciehull for training and @vanrijjohn for cornering.

Thanks to @rhesusbel for the great pictures.

I'm a finalist for the British Science Fiction award for audio fiction!

This is the third year I've been nominated, which itself is incredible, but hopefully it's going to be third time lucky!

Thank you very much to everyone who has voted for me this far. It is an honour 🙌 by @danforthrick
