For You - @chloe.caphe

This one hits home a little. I saw a lot of Chloé Cà Phê + Roastery’s mission statement as a reflection of my upbringing, being Vietnamese-American myself. I knew I wanted to tell their story as a way of celebrating our legacy, deeply rooted in South Sacramento.

By serendipity, this Lunar New Year is the year of the horse, the zodiac my dad was born with.

Huge thanks to @charleygfx and @crysthizzle for trusting me to bring this piece to life, and much love to my small but amazing crew who made it happen.

Tip The Scales | @genshinimpact x @hoyofair

I had the glorious opportunity of sound designing a new animated short for @wyatt_delta22 that showcases a 90’s cops-n-robbers spin on the world of Genshin and its characters. A true labor of love by the Winterstellar Studios team ✌️

TTS premiered on the @hoyofair YouTube channel amongst many other amazing pieces. Full film is out now on YouTube! by @dang.it.nathan

Samurai Blue: Afterimage | @afterimage_en

An SFX timeline visual of this specific section I sound designed for. I was brought on to the team just 4 days before launch and it was a blast mixing this for director/friend @wyatt_delta22

For the approach, the ghost car needed to be an ethereal and almost monstrous presence that grinds itself against the tangible sounds from an actual Subaru with its turbo flutters and pops used from real-world references. It was important that the Subaru remained as true-to-life as possible but also layering non-diegetic and high-octane elements that really pop out of the screen.

Samurai Blue: Afterimage is out now on YouTube. Enjoy the booms, pops and fruits of everyone’s labor that went into this anime short, especially this animation 😮‍💨. Loved every minute of this process 🎶💥 by @dang.it.nathan
