Happy Pride Month🌈

6 years since coming out. That’s wild. Reflecting back to little baby Richard, shy and scared by default, and seeing the progression into who I am today is crazy. I tend to not give myself a lot of credit. But hey, I actually am so proud of myself.

The next chapter seems like it’s going to be titled “single, thriving, and at peace” hehe. This is the most “secure” I’ve felt with my journey of finding love and I want to continue improving myself and see what life brings me.

Fundies Showcase Season 3🩵

Song: Blah Blah Blah by @kesha ft @3oh3
Choreo: ME! (Richard Dang)

I wanted to channel my inner Kesha as well as show a more “sexy” side of me. I’m usually more reserved or “cutesy” so this was definitely a challenge but I’m glad I was able to show people what I really look like dancing alone in my room hehe. I also incorporated some fundamentals we worked on all season. Kesha literally raised me so I hope this does the song justice! taken in Evenground Dance Studio by @dang__erous

int/adv with @llos.am !!

Had so much fomo when she did round 1. So happy I was able to catch round 2 hehe. The musicality for this combo was so good! It was nice to see where the moves were hitting. Always appreciate a Mariko combo :) by @dang__erous

LA & IDL photo dump ♡

Never would’ve thought I’d be able to attend IDL in person! Had the best time with my Austin dance family and got to explore LA! Watched my favorite dancers kill it on stage and learned so much.

A trip full of serendipitous moments. Getting to meet Alo and Elijah’s parents, getting a handmade bracelet from Elijah’s mom, and so many other core memories.

LA & IDL photo dump ♡

Car ride and late night yap sessions will always be my fav memories with yall 🫶

Tình Yêu Ngủ Quên | Fundies S6 Choreo Showcase

Song: Tình Yêu Ngủ Quên by @hoangton.official @__lyhan__
Choreo: by yours truly :)

Another fundies choreo showcase! This song has been on my list for so long and initially I was going to do it for the first ever fundies showcase. But back then, I couldn’t come up with anything I liked. Two years later, I feel like I’ve grown as a dancer and finally found the vibe and moves that worked with the song.

I’m always trying to reconnect with my Vietnamese culture and I love this song so much.

Intention for this piece is to work on my focus/gaze, expressions, musicality, chill playful vibe, and just enjoy dance again. taken in Evenground Dance Studio by @dang__erous
