Haven’t had much studio time in the last week. I’ve been busy seeing performances. Once I spotted the pattern I just scheduled everything for the same week. Haha. Saw the Odyssey on the big screen and semi dressed up. My foster is exploring a little more and I got a picture of her cute nub tail. I saw my friend in a comedy burlesque show, then we both saw Come From Away the next night. Ending the week with the Goo Goo Dolls concert(and Neon Trees as opener). Wow. Time to take some storytelling notes, and schedule some writing sessions. Art forever, but let’s keep the summer vibes going. by @danidodge2

It’s a strange feeling. Abundance. To live beyond survival. I have everything I need. And resources for when I don’t. In survival mode you ask the universe for money, stable housing, a working car. But. How do you open yourself up to more of the things that electrify you once Maslow’s ghost has been satisfied? I used to think I’d ask for more time. But I don’t need that either. I need more art, more sun, more stillness, more connection, more stories, more sleep, more love. Money doesn’t provide those things. Sure, theoretically it could. It isn’t the same. I’ve been working overtime, and while the cash is nice, I’m finding I don’t need extra, I have enough and there are other things on my heart that I desire. It’s been a surprising series of observations and feelings. I know it’s a strange concept, and I will not be in this position for very long. But, I kind of want to remember I felt this. Tasted it for a bit. What a layered and interesting thing…. by @danidodge2

Just treated myself to bagel sando and Thai food today. And art of course. This whole thing could pack up and go anywhere. This could be so much more accessible for folks in more limited areas. The projection experience versus tangible paintings can be discussed but I think of landlocked poor states that might be able to host an experience like this. Why isn’t this done more?! by @danidodge2
