Welcome to the gallery program
DANIEL VÖLKER

Doutzen Kroes
Maße: 225x180cm
Technik: 4134 vintage postage stamps on panel

Since 2009, Daniel has created ‚Stamp Mosaics,‘ which are large-scale, iconic portraits composed of thousands of used vintage postage stamps.

These mosaics are assembled by gluing the stamps together one by one, without cutting, painting over, or otherwise altering them in any way.

His works are a patchwork of memories intended to make us think. „Analog pixels“ that transport the past into the present and thus tell a new story.

Daniels work is a tribute to longing, history, heritage and tradition by @daniel_voelker
