I began my music journey when I was 18, working as a waitress and bartender.

For over 10 years, I worked across clubs, bars and restaurants, listening to what each place brought through its music selection, ambience and energy. Every corner taught me something, about music, people, atmosphere and how a song can completely shift the feeling of a space.

I never imagined that one day my love for music would become a way of being.

I started practising DJing 4 years ago, and even though I’m still discovering this new way of expressing myself, I can’t believe where it has taken me, and all the amazing people I’ve met along the way 🦋

This summer, I was invited to @brixtonradiolive to play a selection of music.

Since it was an early set - 5pm, I wanted to really honour that moment of the day. That space between afternoon and night, when everything starts slowing down and the mood shifts into something softer, warmer and more sexy 🌛🌹

I wanted to bring my playful, fun side to the mix… and this is what came out.

Jazzy house, old-school house vibes, dreamy textures, unexpected blends and a little bit of genre-hopping, simply playing, exploring and enjoying the music.

I also opened and closed the set with two special tracks bringing something a little different to the mix.

Hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making it 💗

If you ask me what kind of music I like to dance to or even search for in a set…

Good question 😅 And honestly, I don’t have a straight answer.

I’ve been raving since I can remember. I’ve worked in bars, clubs, danced all night long and lost myself in music more times than I can count 🌑✨

From funk to soul, house music is what truly takes my breath away, Chicago sounds, Detroit house, a good NYC warehouse party, and of course now calling London my home… a good UK garage set, broken beats, trippy rhythms, endless loops, and why not some dark, deep, hypnotic techno.

To be honest, I just love what makes my body move, my soul sing, and lyrics that hide messages of love, unity, and rhythm.

I started listening to legends like Kerri Chandler and Chez Damier. From Josh Caffé to Mr. G, Moodyman… and so on

But for me, music is about learning how to blend and understanding that there’s a place and time for everything.

A beautiful rooftop day party in NYC will never feel the same as an underground basement party in East London at 3am and that’s exactly the magic of it.

If you want to hear more, I have a few sets linked in my bio a blend of a bit of everything that I love ✨

In my previous post, I shared how music has become part of my remembering journey. It has led me into sound healing studies, long listening sessions, and eventually bringing a beautiful gong into my home.

More and more, I experience music as a direct connection to God, a way to return to presence, feeling, prayer, stillness… whatever name you want to give it.

So finding spaces where I can discover records like this, bring them home, and listen in my own quiet little world feels sacred to me.

Last Saturday I went to a vinyl fair with my husband and, among so many incredible records, this was the one that called me.

Ashram Sun by @musicbotofasinasurya
Surya Botofasina, produced by Carlos Niño.

A beautiful blend of percussion, saxophones, synths, chants, voices and ambient textures that somehow feels both deeply grounding and expansive at the same time.

The record describes itself as a moment where time feels suspended, like the sun returning after a long rain.

And honestly… that’s exactly how it feels.

These days, listening to music with intention has become part of my daily rituals. Not just entertainment. More like devotion. A meditation. A way back home. taken in London, England by @danielarosedj

Feliz viernes familia 🦋

Happy Friday, starting Easter moving nuestro cuerpo, our bodies!

This mix was created from my experience living in NYC.

In 2013 I moved to NYC with only 22 years old and a bag full of dreams.

This city inspired me so much in ways I can’t explain.

The music there feels different, even partying, there was magic in the air and the city showed me so much!

This is a mix I made at the beginning of this year and for me this represents who I want to give, mixing and selecting music is about having fun and telling a story.

So welcome to ‘The night train’ a mix inspired by riding the NYC underground and its vibrant lights, heavy metal box, dark long nights and my music busting in my ears.
