Eight years ago I saw a lightning bolt in human form hit the stage of the Troubadour in LA. A few years later that same lightning bolt @desivalentine was nominated for, and won, a photoshoot giveaway I did for my birthday. It took us another five years to make it happen, and it finally did so in Mexico City - just in time for the release of his first single in many years, a tribute to his brother who had passed away.

It was a moody afternoon, with the skies patiently waiting til the final moments of our shoot to drop a million little kisses from the ocean on us. I climbed on a block of concrete and asked Desi to kneel on the ground and embrace the rain - his response immediately after: “Bro, I can’t believe you Shawshanked me!” 😂

Deluge/Diluvio. With @jab_garcia_ and the most incredible dress design by @gabysalasj. I had already been experimenting with red fabrics to explore the idea of lava as a metaphor of the destructive and creative force that dances in our veins. However, I needed to complementary element of agua and Gaby created a beautiful dress to play with that idea. But it needed to be more surreal, more like a waterfall inundating the entry space of @casa_pedregal. After buying half of all the blue pleated fabric en el Centro Historic, Tthis is the result of that exploration/collaboration. by @danieljohnsonis

Este sábado 31 de enero, Tetetlán ofrecerá un coctel para celebrar la clausura de la exposición Petrificado de Daniel N. Johnson en Casa Pedregal, la icónica residencia de 1947 de Luis Barragán.

La muestra propone un diálogo sensible entre la mirada del artista y fotógrafo Daniel N. Johnson y la obra arquitectónica de Barragán.

El resultado es una serie de 45 imágenes que activan el espacio y lo transforman en una experiencia profundamente poética, donde arquitectura, luz y tiempo se entrelazan para invadir los sentidos.
