I’m bringing a Hip Hop Minor to CalArts in 2027!

I’m also starting my own school for MCs & word practitioners called @blackartsradicalstudio .

+ dropping a mixtape (yes all of these things are connected) RAPS 4 N*&&AS WHO READ BOOKS VOL.1. It won’t be on streaming.

Here’s where you come in! Going forward Your reciprocity makes my next song, video, event, and school possible.

MY LIFE & ART ARE NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT YOUR RECIPROCAL SUPPORT.

Here’s how we practice reciprocity:
Buy the music on Bandcamp
Back me on Patreon.

That’s it. Everything else is “cool” and I’m thankful for streams, likes and shares but my material conditions are calling for something deeper and more reciprocal going forward.

We make each other possible.

‘Grasslands’ is out today. A song inspired by my experiences of traveling through the American heartlands. From the bison filled grasslands of North Dakota to the open expanses of Texas and Oklahoma.

A love for the American landscape is something that transcends politics and connects us who live here, though we may not agree on much else. The other thing that might bond us together is a love for the sound of pedal steel guitar, so I was sure to include plenty of that! 🌞

The album cover photo was taken on my way up to Standing Rock, home to the Lakota people, where I lower as part of the protest encamp for four months and helped run a solar-powered recording studio during the winter month.

Hummingbird collection.
Inspired by the sacred Huitzilin this collection celebrates joy, lightness, and transformation. In ancient Mexico, it symbolized courage and the connection between worlds, a divine messenger carried on shimmering wings.
Handcrafted in Mexico. Made with love, and in peace.

Youkali
Y la vida nos arrastra,
Pesada, cotidiana,
Pero la pobre alma humana,
Buscando olvido en todas partes,
Para dejar la tierra
Supo encontrar el misterio
Donde los sueños se esconden
En algun Youkali…
Youkali,
Es la felicidad,
Es el placer.
Pero es un sueño, una locura!

¡ No hay Youkali !

POV you’re taking my all levels contemporary class ✨💯

Story time: Most dancers have trauma from dance as kids and some from their experiences wanting to learn as adults in super serious dance environments. As an ex professional dancer my number one goal is to help people learn dance without feeling the pressure to be “ the best “ and instead encouraging others to find their own movement vocabulary without them feeling pressured to be little Suzy the perfectionist.

I’m grateful for the safe space I get to create for those who want to dance and express themselves.

Feel free to book via the link in my bio 🙌🏿
