Someone reminded me today that I shouldn’t keep comparing 2026 to 2025, I am so glad I just set out to really bloody enjoy this one as that is exactly what I did! Run the person you are today, not yesterday or last week, month or last year. Enjoy the now with whatever you’ve got as you just don’t know when it will either be taken away or stopped.

So no I’m not at the level I was last year, but this year is so much more less pressured!. Thank you @coralw90 @aaronwinter & Kieren(he will get insta one day) AKA Kirsty 2.0 😂 she’s coming to every race now by the way. Literally had so much fun today. Cant wait for some of the 2027 ideas to be in the diary. For now onto HYROX x3 😬 oh and a little side race in November.

Pretty happy with this one with no goal in mind:

7th HALF MARATHON
🏃🏽‍♀️ 60 / 1000 Age Group
🏃🏽‍♀️ 507 / 8783 Females
🏃🏽‍♀️ 2666 / 20000 Total Runners
Chip Time : 1:45:23
STRAVA PB Time : 1:44:52

Thank you @royalparkshalf great event I will be back. 🏃🏽‍♀️

A little last minute trip to the Peaks with the dogs. I love that we don’t waste a minute of life and we get to do this! My absolute most fav place, couldn’t not take Faldo back. His second trip up Mam Tor he was happy to show little Sunny the way up on her first trip up a Peak.

Couldn’t fault either of them over the two days and we once again picked some absolutely stunning walks through woodlands and waterfalls of The Three Shires to the historic Luds Church and views for days on The Roaches and Mam Tor aswell as a waterside walk over Hathersage Stepping Stones.

15miles in 2 days for little legs what a life they have 🤎🤍🐾

Thank you @eatonsadventure for always going along with my crazy plans. 🫶🏽

10 weeks training done all for this one race. All those early mornings, interval runs that we all hated but knew was making the difference was only possible because of 1 group of people. None of us gave in and only a handful of training runs were either missed or rescheduled around “life”.

I don’t think any of us really had a great week coming into it with illnesses or other bits and pieces occupying our minds but I’m so so proud to have ran with them all! PBs from us all whether it was first time Half’s, time goals or course records we got it done ✔️ nothing makes me happier than seeing others do well.

The crowd today was unbelievable what incredible support the whole way round, always something about your hometown race. Family, friends, strangers all cheering you on from every part of the course to the very end, you are what carries us around on the day!

Have I got the bug back, hmmmm maybe not but I definitely feel I bit more confident in long distance running again which I never thought I’d say. Onto Royal Parks in 2 weeks 😬😬

˗ˏˋ UKPN LOV Awards 2026 ˎˊ˗
.
.
A year and half ago I was made redundant from a job I loved, I left with no choice but to feel unappreciated and undervalued! Fast forward to last night I was shortlisted from 2,741 nominations down to 3 for a “Living our Values” award within the whole of UKPN! Not even quite sure what to say. I think initially I was just a bit like “oh that is nice”, however arriving last night to see the scale of the event I felt very proud of myself.

I always take great pride in everything I do, whether that is my work or everyday life and for once it was a little bit overwhelming to finally feel appreciated.

To top it off I got to bring my beautiful mum to experience it all with me. Thank you UKPN for an absolutely stunning evening, no detail was left unturned. I did not win my category but just being there was winning enough for me. 🫶🏽

Another fantastic session with Andy & Jo. Faldo literally never wants to leave. Can’t believe 2026 has gone so fast and it’s our first visit of the year! Not sure sausages were thrilled about having their Giant Guardian with them today he does get tiny bit over excited. But always well controlled by Andy 🫶🏽🐾
