The easy homemade pancake recipe I’ve been using for over a decade šŸ„ž

Ingredients:

2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp bicarb soda
1/3 cup caster sugar
1.5 cups milk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla

How to make:

Whisk milk, egg + vanilla together in a jug. Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl. Make a well in the centre. Add milk mixture. Whisk until just combined. Heat a large frypan, melt a little butter before each pancake. Cook on low-med heat until bubbles appear, flip, then cook until golden.

A little snippet of our homeschool morning šŸ¤

I often get asked what my three year old does while I’m homeschooling my two older children, and honestly, it really does look different each day.

Some mornings he’s happy playing independently, and other days he just wants to be close to me, so he joins in with whatever I’m doing, whether that’s teaching the bigger kids or getting a few homemaking things done.

I will say, getting that focused time with my older children isn’t always easy, but in my experience it takes consistency and a little training.

And of course, I always try to fill our mornings with as many beautiful picture books as we can. They’re one of my favourite parts of homeschooling with little ones šŸ„¹šŸ“– by @danielleleepenn

Comment ā€œHAIRā€ to start your dream hair journey ā˜ļø

If you’re a busy mum watching your hair fall out, thin around your hairline, and break at the ends after having a baby, I want you to know you’re not alone šŸ¤

I know how heartbreaking it can feel to look in the mirror and barely recognise your hair. After all four of my babies, I experienced extreme postpartum hair loss and thinning. I felt like my hair had become thin, flat, dull and fragile, and I honestly didn’t believe a simple haircare routine could make much difference.

But with the right products and consistency, my hair gradually became long, full, strong and shiny.

And honestly, after four babies, it’s the healthiest my hair has ever been 🄹

As a busy mum of four, I don’t have hours to spend on my hair. I need a products and a routine that’s simple, fits into real life, and actually works.

My daily thickening serum, the IR Clinical Thinning Defense Serum, reduces hair fall by 92%. It contains capixyl + caffeine to keep your hair in the growth phase for longer and is water based so it dries quickly, not leaving your hair greasy. It’s a product that actually works and takes me 2 seconds each day.

If you’re dealing with postpartum hair loss or wanting healthier, fuller hair without a complicated routine, I’d love to help you too.

Currently my thickening serum holy grail hair oil are part of an epic sale, so if you want to grab them DM me HAIR if your in Australia or New Zealand and I will send you a custom link!

I would love to help you šŸ¤

Forever grateful I get to be home with our children, and forever grateful for a husband who not only supports me but encourages me endlessly in this season šŸ¤

Motherhood is so sanctifying and most days I go to bed completely spent, but in the best kind of way. There’s laundry still to fold, things left undone, and always more to do tomorrow…but I’m so grateful that these are the days I get to spend raising our little people.

This is the dream. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything 🄹 by @danielleleepenn

I often get asked what my three year old does while I’m homeschooling my two older children, and it’s usually one of three things…

1. He’s happily playing independently.
2. He’s doing something alongside me.
3. He’s playing or enjoying an activity with one of his siblings.

It really does vary from day to day, and I’ve learned to let our mornings flow a little differently depending on what everyone needs each day šŸ¤

But one thing I always try to prioritise is our reading time, whether that happens first thing or after I’ve done maths with the bigger kids.

We focus on reading with expression, and some of these picture books are so wonderful, funny or just plain lovely that my older kids often gather around too and before we know it, we’re all reading together 🄹

I also love borrowing books from the library first. If we really love a story, then I’ll consider adding it to our home library.

Any questions about how we make homeschooling work with four children? I’ll be sharing more of our homeschool days here šŸ¤

These simple changes to my routine are making all the difference šŸ™ŒšŸ»

My hair has so thin after severe post partum hair loss after having each of my 4 babies. I wish someone had told me it was possible to grow my hair back and have healthier hair than ever before šŸ¤

I still remember the stress when my hair started falling out around three months after having my first baby. It grew back a little, but after having my second baby I experienced severe hair loss again. By the time she was three, so much of my hair still hadn’t grown back.

Honestly, I’d lost hope that my hair would ever look the way it used to.

Then I came across another mum online sharing her hair routine and how much her hair had grown back. I remember thinking I had to try it for myself…and I’m so glad I did!

Now with my fourth baby at 18 months, my hair is longer, thicker, healthier and shinier than it’s ever been. And I genuinely wish I’d found this routine sooner!

If you’re struggling with postpartum hair loss or just want to feel good about your hair again, I’d love to help. Comment ā€œHAIRā€ below and let’s chat šŸ¤

Hair transformation loading ….

I’ll never get over how skeptical I was to even try these products! I honestly didn’t think they’d work for me 🄺

I’d tried so many natural remedies, but nothing worked. Now I’m so glad I gave these products a try. My hair hasn’t been this healthy in over 10 years, if ever!

Comment ā€œHAIRā€ to steal the routine that transformed my hair after having four babies šŸ¤

I think many of us grew up without really being taught to see homemaking as valuable work. We can so easily feel that we should be doing more, achieving more or striving for something beyond the ordinary work in front of us.

But caring for our homes and families is meaningful work! It doesn’t have to look impressive from the outside, and it certainly doesn’t have to be done perfectly.

I’ve realised how important it is to surround myself with women who encourage me in this season, who remind me of the value of the life I’ve been called to and who help me see the beauty in the everyday.

I want to spend less time feeling like my ordinary days aren’t enough, and more time appreciating the life I have here at home. These days are truly precious 🄹

If you’re in this season too, I hope this is a helpful reminder for you today šŸ¤ by @danielleleepenn

I’ve been making this toasted granola recipe for over three years and it is THE best. My whole family loves it. Here is my recipe šŸ¤

Ingredients

• 3 cups rolled oats
• 1 cup chopped nuts (I usually use a macadamias because they’re superior imo)
• 3 tbsp pumpkin seeds
• ½ cup honey
• 50g coconut oil, melted
• 1 tsp vanilla essence
• ¼ tsp salt
• ½ tsp cinnamon
• Coconut flakes, to sprinkle on top
• Optional dried fruit or anything else you like!

Method

1. Add the rolled oats, chopped nuts and pumpkin seeds to a large bowl and mix together.
2. Melt the coconut oil and honey together. Once melted, stir in the vanilla, salt and cinnamon.
3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well until everything is coated.
4. Spread onto a lined baking tray and press the mixture down firmly into an even layer.
5. Bake at 160°C for 10 minutes, then take it out and turn the granola over. Press it down firmly again.
6. Bake for another 7–8 minutes, then sprinkle some coconut flakes over the top for the final 2–3 minutes of baking. Keep an eye on it as the coconut can burn quickly!
7. Keep an eye on the granola towards the end - you want it lovely and golden.
8. Leave it to cool completely on the tray before eating. This is when it gets nice and forms clusters!
9. Once cooled, you can mix through some dried fruit or any other extras you like. Enjoy! by @danielleleepenn
