I am a teacher, and many of my "kids" are grown and having babies of their own. These two little Violet Backpackpacks by @knotandthread are baby gifts for a couple of my precious girls (who I taught in middle school probably 20ish years ago!) having baby girls of their own. They are going to be such great mothers, and I am so proud of them. Knowing your kids as adults who are great humans is one of the greatest joys in life. Still over here making bags like it's my job or something. Now that my summer is pretty much over, I am squeezing every possible minute to sew since it is easy to cross stitch during the school year.

This bag was so fast and fun-- definitely a one afternoon situation. I am about to make the larger one-- this is the mini. Thanks @noodlehead531 for a great pattern and the youtube video to go with it. Made it super beginner-friendly.

The pattern also has an option to add a zipper closure. by @daniellewilkes
