The dolphin, a symbol of generosity and intelligence has been used in home ornamentation for hundreds of years. For this assignment I wanted to showcase the beauty of being generous by lending a hand and spreading intelligence while simultaneously being suffocated and tortured by those same feelings through the form of Victorian dolphin sculptures by @danielpreston.dsgn

Experimenting with Raku Firing, the panther was a common motif in antiquity greek culture as a symbol of Dionysus, the god of ecstasy and pleasure. My thoughts often hold me away from accepting these feelings, though I know I have to accept these feelings for my own sanity. The panther is representational of how I perceive myself, finding strength through both a mix of masculine and feminine expression, keeping a strong grasp on my biggest asset, my brain. by @danielpreston.dsgn

An open air concept inspired by the way light reflects on to water. 1/8” = 1’ scale all sculpted by hand with clay with foam core details, cast in concrete.

I really wanted to play with fluidity and circulation with movement. This organic flowing structure should feel as if it is moving all around you as you walk through it and enjoy the beautiful that surrounds it by @danielpreston.dsgn

This is the last page in my sketchbook that I’m posting, it is made of my literal blood, sweat and tears, that I had collected and mixed with water color pigment. I drew a character over it and put the word salt over it because when I leave the earth, I want to leave a mark, like how salt ruins life on earth by @danielpreston.dsgn
