if you told me in 2018 when i first got sick or 8 months ago when i got out of surgery that this past week i would be playing soccer again representing USA, women, and what is possible after transplant i wouldn’t believe you at all. this week was amazing, thank you @usatransplantsoccer for letting me be on the team after never seeing me play in person and @thenationalkidneyregistry @donorgames for helping me get to germany.

my favorite parts of this week
•realizing that after 8 years soccer can be fun again
•making so many new friends from all over the world especially @wchiri @menadika @itschiribob
•people going up to my parents saying positive things about me!! (crazy i know)
•aprendí tute con mis amigos españoles @lucianodiazfisiojaen @adomingomez @ponzetirm17
•asserting dominance over men (obviously)
•winning the first ever women’s tournament
•getting MVP & Golden Boot from said tournament

now i have 2 years to actually train and get better & your girl will be back (hopefully if u let me @hatemnyc ) @worldtransplantgames by @danifiorito

unfortunately my body has caught up to me and i have some type of infection as well as pain all along the left side of my body. they admitted me tonight to the ER in hopes of being fine by tomorrow morning, unfortunately i am not and they are postponing my surgery until I am well again. 3 kidney dani is coming. just not tomorrow ): someday ill get back to being a huge slay soon, right now im just a sad baby back bitch. by @danifiorito

from giving me life to extending it shoutout my mom!!!

at the very beginning of looking for a donor, my mom was told her anatomy was not suitable for transplant and would be unable to help me. fast forward one year and @dukeuniversityhospital gave us the great news that she is actually a perfect match for me and they could transplant her kidney!!!

everyone mark ur calendars for december 15th because i will have 3 kidneys and my mom will only have 1 (loser) by @danifiorito

things i can do: be hot, hilarious, and sometimes fitness

2 weekends ago I had the opportunity to compete at the Donor Games Championship and placed 2nd! All of the competitors have either donated a kidney or liver or they have received a transplant! It gave me so much hope for what I will be able to do once I get a kidney (soon hopefully speak it into existsnce🤪) It also helped me realize that I am not alone in a huge aspect, they were all so supportive of trying to find me a donor as well as help my mom find another surgeon who might work with her anatomy!!

oh also shoutout Logan for being my coach, you’re no coach slay (me) but ur alright

how tf i look now that i’m active on the kidney transplant list🤪🫘🫶🏼💕 10 months, many doctors appoints, countless tests and labs, and i am officially cleared for a transplant😤😤 still need to find a kidney but this was a huge step in my journey to finally getting better!! thank you all for all the love and support next stop 3 kidney danielle until then we 🫶🏼 dialysis by @danifiorito

hey guys¨̮ As many of you know, I have been dealing with Chronic Kidney Disease of an unknown origin since 2018. Unfortunately, in July of 2024, it took a turn for the worst and I am currently working towards finding a kidney transplant. As expected, this process is difficult emotionally, physically, mentally, and financially. I am lucky enough to have a friend (thank u @lexie_baker_4 ) who created a GoFundMe to help me raise money for the countless number of appointments, tests, procedures, and the transplant itself.
