I think at this point i have finally finished designing this poster, A Taste of the Caribbean featuring some of the tastiest foods from the islands (although many from Jamaica). This is something I have been meaning to do, to house the repository of Caribbean characters I’ve illustrated along the way. I’ll be sending this to the printers and cannot wait to get my hands on the final version. Will keep you posted once I’m good with the quality of the design, and she will go up on the shop for purchase ( follow @sophupshop so stay posted!)Thank yall for the input. If there are key foods that are missing, please continue to send them my way and I’ll (eventually) design a Part II to this.#jamaicanfood #caribbeanfood #torontosmallbusiness #toronto #sophupshop taken in Toronto, Canada by @danitriesating

Miss Mango in 3D

*not just any Mango but THE Miss Julee Mango. Took my @procreate illustration into @nomadsculpt to render her in 3D. I am just learning how to use this tool so pls bear with me.

I understand that AI could achieve what took me hours in a mere minutes or seconds. But that’s like taking out all the good parts…The process including the self doubt or uncertainty that comes with learning a different process…the perseverance as it did take me several hours to get here..the fun of being a student and discovering new tools. Even the imperfections that suggest traces of my own hand at work. Not the short cut, I’m interested in taking a long walk.

Teaching myself Nomad Sculpt_ Day 5

I have thoughts_ I’m absolutely enthralled with learning how to use @nomadsculpt ! I imported my original
@procreate illustration to use as a reference to guide me along the way while watching @drugfreedave explain various tools. Granted this is not super smooth yet and I can’t seem to voxel remesh the fingers correctly but really happy. Progress!! This took me at least 3 hours, AI whomst?!

Figuring out the side and back profiles as I go along is also interesting. I had no idea Ms Mango had this backsidddeeee.

Other thoughts_ Any other creative moms out there struggling with TIME!!?! Truthfully I hate that it’s now 3am (at the time I wrote this) I really want to work on establishing strong sleep habits, but after giving all my time during the day, I need my own creative time but it’s at the cost of my own self 🥴

TORONTO 🚨🚨🚨 We’ve been holding off as we’ve been waiting on the official confirmation. It seems that the Toronto Junior Carnival will be postponed to Sunday July 19th in light of the air quality concerns + weather forecast. Given that we have prior commitments, sophupshop will not be vending at the event this weekend. I know the organization is doing what it can to make the best of this situation. I hope that Sunday will see many of you supporting the kiddies in having a wonderful carnival, please do go out and see them shine!! They are the future and it’s special to see them carry the carnival torch.

If you need your sophupshop fix, be sure to check out our online shop. Worldwide shipping + local pick up options are available.

A big thank you to all the friends who continue to support us, be it reposting our content, purchasing goodies, spreading the word to your friends, or coming out irl to say hi. Every msg, voice note, comment means a lot. 🫶🏾
