A list of some achievements I’m very proud about 🥰

18yo me would definitely be in coma if she learn all the cool stuff i did. I had big dreams but didn’t know hot to achieve them and they felt so distant. But now, with hard work and passion, I’m proving myself that it’s all POSSIBLE.

Did I have many fails on the way? Tons. Sometimes I felt like giving up honestly. But struggle means you’re on the right track. And also, should I make a carousel of my fails?😂

I believe in myself and every each of you, who’s reading this. You CAN do it ❤️ by @dankazh

I think this is my first ever carousel and I hope it’ll be interesting for you;) This about my journey of becoming a microplastics researcher, feel free to ask questions and give me ideas for future carousels/reels, I’ll try to create them❤️

Thanks for everyone who is supporting me in this journey, you’re my biggest motivation 🥰

THINGS I DO TO AVOID MICROPLASTICS EXPOSURE

I’ve been studying microplastics for past four years and here’s my easy tips to reduce microplastic exposure:

1. Never heat plastic. Plastic plus heat is equal to many many microplastics.
2. Avoid plastic water bottles.
3. Choose plastic free fibers like cotton linen or hemp.
4. Open your windows and vacuum regularly. This significantly reduce microplastics concentration in your air.
5. Ditch plastic teabags, plastic chewing gum, plastic utensils.

Let me know in the comments what you’d like to know about plastic/microplastics 👀

There are so many different ways to get experience inside or outside of a lab/office!

In collaboration with @ifthenshecan , I wanted to share my experience in Norway!

While I was volunteering with @inthesameboat.eco to make our planet a bit cleaner, this experience was also beneficial, especially for those who want to work in biology/marine science/environmental science. I learned a bit about the local ecosystems, how to live on a boat and how to sail and so on.

Feel free to ask any questions about this in the comments!

We talk so much about eating nutrient-dense foods, supporting our hormones, choosing a quality prenatal, getting sunlight, sleeping well, and preparing the body for pregnancy.

But what about the plastic exposures woven into our everyday lives?

In this incredibly important conversation, Bella sits down with microplastics expert Dana (@dankazh) to talk about what happens when plastic becomes small enough to move beyond the digestive tract and into the bloodstream, tissues, and organs.

Microplastics and nanoplastics have now been found in places they were never meant to be, including the placenta, semen, and reproductive organs. And some of the most common exposures are coming from things many of us use without thinking twice.

Heating food in plastic. Drinking bottled water. Brewing tea in plastic-based tea bags. Cooking with nonstick pans. Chewing gum. Using conventional wipes and period products.

They also get into the difference between microplastics and nanoplastics, how these particles may contribute to inflammation and interfere with hormones, whether tap water may sometimes be a better choice than bottled water, and which changes can make the greatest difference in your home.

This isn’t about becoming afraid of everything or replacing your entire kitchen overnight. Plastic is nearly impossible to avoid completely in the modern world.

It’s about knowing where the most meaningful exposures may be hiding and making better choices where you realistically can. Because when it comes to fertility, pregnancy, and the health of our children, informed choices matter. 🤍

What’s the biggest environmental issue in your country?

Last week I attended RCOY Central Asia @rcoycentralasia and had an opportunity to ask representatives of different countries on the main environmental problems of their countries. It was interesting to learn about that and that the youth is so highly engaged in climatic questions.

I would love to learn what kind of environmental problems do you already face in your country? Share in the comments ⬇️⬇️⬇️

We’ve lost 73% of global wildlife populations since the 1970s. Mostly due to human impact. But this isn’t a reason to lose hope; it’s a reason to act!

You don’t need a science degree to make a difference. Whether it’s planting native species in your garden, cutting down single-use plastics, or doing hands-on field conservation, everyday action matters.

This coming January 2027, I’m leading a group volunteer trip to South Africa with @worldpackers to work directly with local wildlife initiatives. People of all backgrounds are welcome, as long as you care and ready to contribute! 🇿🇦✨

Climate change might actually have some positive impact! Or does it?

Share your reason “not” to care about climate change in the comments! Let’s all “demotivate” ourselves from caring🤪
