🎨🌱 I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to showcase my artwork, “Natural ID,” at this year's Harvest Awards & Art Show! 💚

This year's theme, “Unseen Roots — How Food Connects Us All,” was a wonderful opportunity to explore the connections we share through food, nature, and our communities.

My piece, Natural ID, represents how we each have our own unique identities and relationships with food, while remaining connected through the land and natural resources that sustain us. 🌿💧🌸

I'm thankful to have been part of an event that celebrated so many talented artists, local food advocates, urban agriculture supporters, and community gardeners who work to strengthen our local food systems.

It was such a rewarding experience to share something I created and see the creativity and passion of others!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and to those who came out to support us! ❤️

🎨🌱 Exciting news! I’m happy to share that my artwork, “Natural ID,” will be displayed at this year’s Harvest Awards & Art Show!

This year’s theme is “Unseen Roots — How Food Connects Us All,” celebrating the many ways food, land, community, and the people behind our local food systems connect us.

Revamping my late grandmother’s garden one step at a time. 🌿🤍

It’s definitely still a work in progress, but I’m trying to bring life, care, and love back into this space. So far, I’ve started clearing, laying landscaping fabric, and figuring out what plants are staying, moving, or getting added.

Right now, I want to add more herbs. I currently have lavender and an older sage plant, and I’m hoping to reuse and relocate some of the plants that are already growing in the garden instead of starting completely from scratch.

My goal is to have the space ready for tomatoes, mini pumpkins, berries, herbs, and other seasonal plants while still making it easier to maintain and beautiful in her memory. 💚

I’d love any advice, ideas, or plant suggestions — especially for food production, low-maintenance garden design, pollinator-friendly plants, and ways
to honor what was already here.

I'm done.

I'm done.

I'm done.

I did what you wanted and never complained. I asked what you needed and stood in the rain.

You took my umbrella, and I never cried. You smiled so easily, and I never asked why.

I gave you the car, and you left me the spare tire, I followed your shadow until even you grew tired.

You left me scarred and gave me no bandage.
I cried out to you, and you left me standing in damage.

You turned off your light and shut your door and I stood in the dark, begging still for more.

Then I rested, like you coldly said I should, while everything I meant was swallowed and misunderstood.

Then I rested on my own terms.
As I rested, my mind cracked open. and I realized there was no room left for hoping.

I got up and ate breakfast with extra care. Now I am learning to clean with double care.

I let this pain cut deep where it had to and now I am learning how to hold myself gently too.

May this new journey be handled with care as I learn to become my truest self with a little more flare.

Let the worries be limited and the blessings infinite.
