Throwback to an amazing week sharing the stage with one of the greatest to ever do it - Wayne Shorter. Here’s a little bit of my solo on his “Yes or No” It was an incredible honor to be in his presence and to hear his sound, energy and creativity up close. @jazzdotorg @wyntonmarsalis @wayneshorterofficial #wayneshorter taken in New York, New York by @dannimmer

That’s a wrap on the 2026 @seikosummerjazzcamp and tour. We had a beautiful 3 weeks of making music and teaching the next generation of this music. This was the 10th anniversary of the camp! It’s a beautiful thing to witness our young people embracing this music and working so hard. This camp and program is truly one the most rewarding things that I have ever taken part of. We see the alumni from past years of this camp playing so great and we love to see how much they have grown musically. I want to thank so many people. There are too many names to mention. Thank you to our fearless leader and promoter @tomoki.sassa. Without him, none of this would be possible. Our camp leader and band leader @deasejazz for steering this ship gracefully. To all our staff Naoya, Atsuko and everyone else behind the scenes. To the best faculty and one hell of a band - Mike, Benny, Diego, Jocelyn, Yasushi, Quincy, Alicia, Miho. To all of the staff at Shobi music college - thank you! - to all of wonderful interpreters. And finally, thank you to the Seiko corporation for all your unwavering support. Thank you for making this all possible. You are changing young people’s lives with your support. Long live @seikosummerjazzcamp ❤️ taken in Tokyo, Japan by @dannimmer
