Two words. “Be ambitious.”

When Bob Iger handed Scott Trowbridge the job of bringing Star Wars to life inside Disney’s theme parks, that was the whole brief.

This week we learned from the @disneyinstitute how Scott and his leaders took those two words and turned them into the Star Wars universe that now lives inside Disneyland.

It’s also wildly ambitious to think a firm that started as a small accounting practice in Sydney would one day bring 100 owners across the Pacific to Disneyland. Nobody would have called that sensible when Kelly+Partners started 20 years ago. But @brettkellyaccountant is nothing if not ambitious.

Huge thanks to Brett Kelly and the @kellypartners team for pulling this off, and for having the vision to lead us here.

My biggest takeaway: we can dream way bigger than we already are. The world is changing fast, and we’re in an amazing position, with great leadership, to build something special that makes a lot of people Better Off.

Now I can’t wait to get home, cuddle @jessicachiha and the kids, then get to work putting it all into practice.

Being a dad is hard. I’m not sure I get it right a lot of the time.

Like a lot of us, I’m just out here doing my best for my family, juggling priorities that never quite line up the way I want them to. And it’s usually the kids who feel that sacrifice the most. Weeks can go by where we’re just passing ships, a hug at breakfast, and a kiss on your forehead when I get home and they are asleep.

But it’s in the moments you do pour your heart in that you hope it lands. That they feel it.

Watching this had me in tears 😭❤️

Celebrating 40 years of you today @jessicachiha

The love you have from everyone who touches your life is really special. It’s a rare trait to bring the best out in people and it’s something you do so effortlessly and people feel it.

It’s not lost on me that you’ve chosen to spend more than half your life with me and I think everyone knows that is not the easiest thing to do.

I’m so grateful that you fight to keep our love alive everyday. You fight for our family and you make sure we are always looked after.

Life adventures with you are the best - you push me and I push you to live our life’s fully in a way that I know we will never look back with regrets.

I’m so excited to be drunk somewhere at your 80th reminiscing about the life we have lived, the adventures we have had, the memories we have created and the love we have shared.
