Eighteen years.

After eighteen years, the thing that I know for sure is that Amy is who I thought she was!
She loves Jesus with all of her heart. She loves me (and our family) faithfully and fiercely. She is beautiful. She is kind. She is brilliant. She is fiery. She is committed to always be growing and is wonderfully mysterious. I am in awe of her!

The Spirit is our advocate and helper: guiding us, convicting us, empowering us daily. Sometimes, we hesitate because we've seen misused gifts, or we're afraid it’s too “weird.” But honestly? The Holy Spirit isn’t weird, although we can be.

Fear, anxiety, and worry press in on us from all sides. Jesus tells us not to be anxious. So what should we actually do when anxiety takes over?

•Look to God in worship and adoration (Phillippians 4:8)
•Process in prayer (1 Peter 5:7)
•Have good boundaries:
•What do I need to pull back from or what do I need to start doing to keep anxiety from rising?

Practice these habits until they become your automatic reaction to fear and worry.

Turn it up to ELEVEN!
Happy birthday to my son.

I’m so impressed by the young man he is and the one he’s becoming. Fun, adventurous, kind, and courageous. He makes me laugh and makes me proud.

This past year brought big milestones and forever memories.
Some favorites:
• Seeing his face light up at the Grand Canyon
• Traveling to Oklahoma for his first Sooner game
• Watching him compete!
• Starting our breakfast Bible studies
• His learning guitar AND taking over our fam worship times.

Ten was one of my favorite years with my boy yet. So excited to see what this next year brings. by @danperkins1
