In the upcoming fall issue of @thegrandtouristpodcast, @vasilisa.ioukhnovets discovers the surprising collection of shears owned by the late artist Daniel Brush with his wife Olivia, who explains why industrial tools fascinated her husband, and how they factor into his body of work celebrated in the exhibition “The Art of Line and Light,” at @lecolevancleefarpels in Paris. “He loved the idea that people made things by hand—they were there with the scissors, using them. We weren’t in the digital age. We were human,” she says. Link in bio. Photographs by @gpel. Portrait by Nathan Crooker. by @danrubinstein

In the spring print issue of @thegrandtouristpodcast, writer @mr__ricky__lee speaks to one of France’s most humbly influential artist-designers, @pierrebonnefille, who also shares a collection of watercolor works created for The Grand Tourist. His design I works are also represented by @atelierscourbet in New York.

“When I travel, I collect impressions: a branch, a stone, a rhythm of water,” says Bonnefille. “Later, in the studio, those memories return—not as literal reproductions but as emotional translations. A certain blue may recall Venice at dusk; a texture may echo the rock formations of a canyon. Each piece is born from a moment of contemplation.”

In the new spring print issue of @thegrandtouristpodcast, @_e_m_m_a__m_o_o_r_e meets one of the latest artists enchanting the design world, @robertoruspoli, who created a series of original artworks for the magazine.

“There should be a continuation of dialogue between what happened in the past and what will happen in the future,” says Ruspoli. “But if you notice today it’s all about now. It’s all ephemeral. People don’t even think of doing something that will last because it’s about consuming it now.”

Inside @thegrandtouristpodcast’s new spring print issue, veteran traveler @mogster66 brings us along on an adventure she’d never expected to take: a magnificent safari, with the expert guidance of @wearewilderness.

As she recalls, “Soon the dogs were off, having spotted a herd of impalas nearby. We spent the next 30 minutes driving furiously, following the pack as they fanned out across the area looking for their prey. “Did you see a kill?” a couple in another SUV asked, the husband brandishing a camera with a lens the size of the Hubble telescope. The dogs eventually tired out, and I for one was grateful we didn’t see a kill.”
