September 11th, 25 years ago.
We were sitting in the photo studio inside the bunker in Hamburg with American friends. Nobody could believe what we saw! Complete disbelief, grief. Just three months earlier, I had been standing right up on the observation deck. Helicopters were flying lower than where we stood. Amazing view! 🩷 Years after I visited Ground Zero. Today seeing those pictures again on TV brought up memories. Sadness!
Later, luckily I heard that friends working in the lower floors of the Deutsche Bank managed to escape the fire and chaos.
I suppose no one will ever forget this day and where you were watching those pics.
