Este sábado tenemos de invitados a uno de los proyectos que sin más nos gusta 🔥🍁🔥

Desde Montreal llega @daphnee.dee fundadora de @cantina.concha una cantina hecha de música y una buena curaduría de sabores y destilados mexicanos donde la inclusión, la comunidad y mucho amor por México son su factor para disfrutar.

Nos cae bien la idea de juntarnos en la barra con los amigos que tanto queremos, echar unos tragos y dejar que la noche haga lo suyo.

I often travel to places and think, "Hmm... I could really move here." When @daphnee.dee traveled through Mexico, she had a different thought: "Hmm... what if I moved Mexico to Montreal?"

So she did.

Inspired by the vibrant warmth of Mexico's cantinas, its hospitality, and its incredible culinary traditions, Daphnée created @cantina.concha - a place where the cocktails celebrate ingredients like tomatillo, poblano, tamarind and chile, and every detail feels like a love letter to the country that inspired it.

This is me at 35.
Happy, smiling, stocked to have confirmed a collab between Cirque du Soleil & Cantina Concha
.

.
Year 34 appears as a very successful one for me:
I opened my own bar.
I published my first cocktail book.
I won a cocktail competition.
I finally studied to be certified a Mezcologa.
I became fluent in spanish.
…
It all seems great. And it is. But it all came with big costs.

Being back in a bar every day and night.
Too much alcohol, which is something I thought was passed.
Social isolation.
Very serious sleep deprivation.
Stress management overload.
Emotional management overload.
Losing a sense of self through life overload, I felt like I was above a flaming volcano, and attached to it. It hurt.
…
It’s interesting how we can sometimes reach our peak and hit bottom at the same time.

I don’t usually share my personal life on social media, but I felt like sharing because we see each other’s accomplishments, and sometimes we forget all the work and dedication that supports such achievements. If you see this today, maybe it’s your sign to give a highfive or send a bravo! message to someone who is in such moments of their life/career.

So 35 years old me now.
Very much connected to myself at new depths.
Very much grateful for all the great professionnal accomplishments I achieved.
Very much excited to keep learning and growing alongside family, chosen family & friends that I love and inspire me.
And very excited for all the things to come. All the hard work paying off. Finally living in Mexico half the year this coming year. Finally getting to talk about mezcal every day. Finally being able to go to yoga every day. You know, life.
