POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’ve been promising my collector friends @franksforeword & @rebinding_is_art to post my entire #rwrb collection so… here they are!

All 61 of my Red, White & Royal Blue editions from my book collection!

Not pictured: a second copy of the Eternal Embers SE and a second one of the Dazzling Bookish Shop SE. Which I guess means I actually have 63 editions of RWRB.

☀️✨️🥳ℍ𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕪 𝔹𝕚𝕣𝕥𝕙𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝔻𝕒𝕡𝕙𝕟𝕖!🥳✨️☀️

🥳 It is my favorite person's birthday today. Daphne is my rock & my safe space. She loves me just as I am, regardless of my flaws. We can talk about books or Heated Rivalry or life or just share tiktoks. We can talk every day or I can go quiet for a few weeks. Regardless she is always there for me. I never feel pressured to be a certain way with her, Daphne always makes me feel good about myself. I will forever be grateful to Rachel Reid & Heated Rivalry for bringing us together. I truly don't know where I would be without her.

She is sunshine in human form. I love you so much Daphne. I hope you have a day just as special as you are. ☀️✨️💖

The Proposal, The Long Game scene, as requested by @daphnefangirling after winning my 1500 followers competition.

I was originally going to just draw the last scene as the main image, but I felt there was just so much more around it. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to draw, especially being able to see the room and all the little details.

I still have a long way to go when it comes to backgrounds and storyboarding for that matter, but I'm really pleased with how this turned out.

Maybe I'll do another competition like this if/when I hit 2000 followers.

Got all dolled up for the @actramtl awards last night where @jacob.tierney was a guest of honour and received the well-deserved Award of Excellence 🙌

But honestly, I was possibly even more excited that I got to meet and chat with the amazing Kaniehtiio Horn (Letterkenny fans will know her as Tanis) who was a contender on the very first Canada Reads edition that I got to be part of the team in 2020!

Also @sarahsegalmusic performed during the absolutely beautiful In Memoriam segment. Sarah played Daphna in Bad Jews at the Segal Centre 10 years ago and I’ve been a fan ever since 💖

Thank you to my wonderful friend @andreedreams who kept me company as I chatted up with a bunch of industry folks, just living my best life (as one does at award shows)! taken in Gesù by @daphnefangirling

Celebrating 1 year of @joie.de.livres.mtl
Joyeux 1er anniversaire @joie.de.livres.mtl 🥳

To say I love this place would be an understatement: “je dis je t’aime t’aime t’aime à peu près 100,000x” So many of my core memories of the past year have been at JDL!

The best bookstore, the best events, the best books, the best snacks, the best staff, the best people — that’s what Joie de Livres is 💖

When I was there this week, I got a copy of @merylwilsner ‘s Cleat Cute (Pride Month + FIFA World Cup, it felt fitting) • Got some yummy nachos • Spotted a copy of @rjcafferyauthor ‘s Pole Position, which is celebrating its 2 years pubversary 🎉

I was there 5x in May (incl. 3x in the same week 😅) and will be back again later this month for the launch of the French edition of Heated Rivalry! I’ve often said: if I’m not in my house, the first place you should look for me is JDL… I really should just move in!

@docreads @sylvie.veut.lire ca.reads.and.writes @avec2accents y’all are a special bunch to have made this place what it is and please tell your staff they’re also wonderful — je vous aime 🫶 taken in Joie de livres by @daphnefangirling

Story time: On Dec. 10, 2024, I read the Crash Test eARC instead of sleeping because that’s how good it was. The next day I DMd @amyjamesbooks to basically yell at her for altering my brain chemistry with her book. I’ve since been trying to convince pretty much everyone I know to read it.

Flash forward to last night where I finally met Amy in person and got to gush about her books (she’s since published a follow-up novella, Seven Points, and with another novel coming, Final Cut)! Will forever be your hype girl, Amy! #teamjacob

I also got to reunite with some of my favourite people wearing all matching F1 lanyards courtesy of @mp_reads_romance 🫶 Oh and got to discover @christinelarameeauteure ‘s books which I can’t wait to read

To say I had a wonderful evening would be an understatement. Thank you to my favourite place in Montreal @joie.de.livres.mtl for hosting yet another event that adds a core memory for me 💖 taken in Joie de livres by @daphnefangirling
