Yesterday was fun!

Combining what we love with @curatedbydapperandsuave - shopping !

@dappersuave began as a blog about mixing high street and vintage fashion, so Rob and Jason always love a trip to the @classiccarbootsale at @coaldropsyard @kingscrossn1c

It has such a brilliant atmosphere:

Classic cars
Food & drink
Vintage fashion
Sustainable shopping
Dancing
+ people making an effort with what they wear.

Then there’s the thrill of spotting a piece you love and hoping it fits!

We caught up with the girls @curiousorange_vintage_costume , where Rob found a Scorpio brooch for himself and a fish-inspired brooch for me - Aquarian themed!

It was lovely to say hello to Kelly @olive_and_quince_vintage too, just as she was about to sit down with her pasta. Sorry, Kelly!

We also shopped with Tim @timdyerdesign who’ll be joining us at our Autumn Market at @denbies_wine_estate and Festive Market @guildfordpavilion & @thedrummondguildford

Jason found an embroidered kingfisher jacket, and Rob picked up a beautiful rose-inspired piece both embroidered and on both sides - unique and bespoke

The sunshine, the smiles and all those little discoveries made it such a good day out.

It’s on again today if you can get along.

Go soak up the retro-inspired fun!

Style Notes No. 4

🇳🇱 Amsterdam, Our Way.

Following on from our last Style Note about Drift. Dopamine. Drive.,we thought we’d share what that looks like when Rob @dappersuave & Jason @curatedbydapperandsuave actually travel.

Back in May, we headed to Amsterdam for a holiday with our friends Dan & James from @coffeeflamingo — and this latest Style Note is a little snapshot of that trip and the way we like to experience a city.

For us, travel isn’t about racing around trying to tick everything off a list.

It’s about wandering.

Taking a different street because something catches your eye.

Discovering an independent shop you didn’t know existed like stopping for coffee — naturally there was plenty of that with Dan & James! ☕️ — looking at the architecture, watching the world go by and simply enjoying being somewhere different.

Sharing those discoveries with good friends makes them even better.

Our latest Style Note – Amsterdam, Our Way brings together some of the places, moments and experiences we enjoyed during our trip.

It’s not a definitive city guide.

It’s simply our Amsterdam — four friends, a few days away and plenty of discoveries along the way as sometimes the best travel memories aren’t the things you meticulously planned.

They’re the people you shared them with and the things you discovered together.

Style Notes | No. 3
Drift. Dopamine. Drive.

Three words we’ve been thinking about recently.
Running businesses and managing busy lives means we’re pretty good at drive.

There’s always somewhere to be, something to organise and another thing waiting to be ticked off the list.

But what about leaving room to drift?

Taking the street that looks interesting.

Going into the shop you hadn’t planned to visit.

Having another coffee because you like the atmosphere.

Changing the plan because you’ve discovered somewhere better.

Then there’s dopamine — that little lift that comes from experiencing something new.

A brilliant independent shop.
An extraordinary interior.
A new neighbourhood.
An exhibition.
A great meal.

Or simply noticing how people somewhere else are living and dressing.

Some of our favourite moments — and some of our best inspiration — have come from the things we didn’t plan.

And perhaps that’s the point.

Drift feeds curiosity.
Curiosity creates inspiration
+ inspiration feeds drive.
