As we wrap out the final season of Mayor of Kingstown, I keep thinking about how strange and special this business really is. We spend months, and in this case years, living out of 31st street studios, surrounded by racks, paperwork, prep lists, budgets, fitting schedules, truck loads, coffee cups, stunt performers and constant chaos. Somewhere along the way, that chaos becomes home.

I’m incredibly grateful for every person who shared this journey with me. For the early mornings, the impossible days, the last-minute changes, the problem-solving, the laughs that got us through, and the friendships that somehow form when you’re all just trying to make the day.

The costumes get packed up. The office gets emptied out. Everyone moves on to the next show. But the memories and the people stay with you.

Thank you to my Mayor of Kingstown family and everyone we crossed paths with along the way. This show gave me so much more than a job, it gave me memories I’ll keep forever and friendships I’ll carry long after the racks are broken down.

In an industry where goodbye is part of the job description, every once in a while you’re lucky enough to find a show that gives you forever friends.

2025. A year for love. A year of therapy. A year that showed me who my people are. A year of concerts and small trips. A year that forced me to let go of 1/3 of my heart and watch him fly. One of gratitude and One to reflect on all of the good. I ended the year reminding myself to spend more energy on those who are endlessly in my corner, NOT those who want to tear me down. You really don’t ever know when you’re experiencing your lasts until it’s over…these past 4 years with #65 has been the most rewarding, magical and special journey. This young man makes me more proud than he will ever know. So thankful for the parents, coaches and teammates that have made his high school hockey ride a memorable one. I am forever grateful. 🥹 tonight I cried because it’s over…tomorrow I’ll celebrate one heck of a Varsity career. by @darciejaneb

First burn with my @solostove bonfire! CAN. NOT. SAY. ENOUGH! I’m obsessed with how easy it was to get a big fire going that stayed HOT! 🔥. The ring stand it sits on allowed us to use it on the grass and didn’t scorch it, you can literally use it anywhere! The kids love how shiny and new it was so they had excitement. It was so hot that we cooked pie iron sandwiches in super speed rates. You should all run, not walk, to order one for Mother’s Day / Father’s Day. You will not be disappointed!!!
