If you’re new here, let me introduce myself.
I’m Darin Kinder, a faithful husband, devoted father, and fierce follower of Jesus Christ.
I spent 25 years serving in the U.S. Secret Service, protecting five U.S. presidents and witnessing some of the most significant moments in our nation’s history. I’m also a survivor of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Today, I’m an author, keynote speaker, and most importantly, a man committed to helping others discover and live out their God ordained purpose.

Mission First Alliance is an organization that brings hope and healing to the First Responder community. Recently, I was honored to serve this fantastic organization as they fight the good fight on behalf of our Guardians. A Citizen always honors the courage and sacrifice of our First Responders. Why? Because that badge doesn’t weigh a lot, until you put it on. Then the weight of it is staggering. by @darinkinder

God has a way of putting the right people in the right place at exactly the right time.
I’m running down a trail with a broken finger, trying to find my way back to the parking lot. Then a stranger stops to help. Turns out, he was an orthopedic surgeon.
God never ceases to amaze me. by @darinkinder

You weren’t created by accident.
You were created with a purpose.
God has uniquely equipped each of us with the skills, abilities, and talents to meet the needs of this world.
It starts with pointing people to Jesus, being driven by love instead of fear, and spending our days living out the purpose God has given us.

How do we honor September 11th?

Never forget is where it starts. But I believe it has to go further. We honor the sacrifice by remembering the magnitude of what happened, teaching the next generation, and remembering the victims, families, and heroes of that day.

But we also honor them by choosing to be citizens, not just civilians.

Citizens engage. They serve. They look beyond their own comfort and safety. They see the people hurting around them and choose to do something about it.
Citizenship is a choice. Choose to be a citizen. by @darinkinder

Last week was one to remember. As a survivor of the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, I was filled with emotion, mostly sorrow. It was much heavier than I anticipated but that’s good...it means I’m still in the fight!

On Friday night I was able to put some wind in my sails by witnessing the very best of America. I met a few thousand of my “new best friends” in the city of Kennewick, WA. This place has a special connection to New York City and the WTC. On 9/11/11, the city opened their 9/11 memorial which consists, in part, of a 3 ton 35ft piece of twisted steel from the World Trade Center. Even thought they are separated by over 2700 miles and 25 years, Kennewick truly feels the pain and sacrifice of NYC. I was humbled to present the keynote address to honor the victims, their families, and heroes of 9/11. It was a night to remember. by @darinkinder

There are moments when God doesn’t remove the challenge. He reminds you that you’re not facing it alone.

In the middle of the chaos, I felt the Lord remind me, “I am with you.“

That promise has stayed with me ever since.

When God calls us to do something hard, He doesn’t leave us without what we need. His word is full of promises that remind us He is with us.

Fight the good fight
Living a life of faith isn’t easy. Pursuing God’s will and living out your calling will be challenging, difficult, and intense.
But we should go to bed tired, knowing we gave everything we had to fight the good fight of faith and make some good trouble along the way.
The fight is worth it. So fight the good fight.
