Honestly one of the best bands I have seen live! Their sound is incredible and they are even better live than in their albums 🤟

My favourite hidden bar in Singapore is right in town, and they serve up some of the most delicious drinks! Hidden within the Shopping Gallery of @vocoorchardsg, you’ll have to spot an unmarked glass display cabinet and find a hidden door to get to @thebackdropsg! It’s a gorgeous cabaret themed space with cheeky notes and beautiful decor, and you can even rent out the space for parties if you want a gorgeous spot for a private event!

They just celebrated their 2nd Anniversary, and with that, have added on a new range of drinks and food to their menu! It includes a play on Singapore’s national cocktail, with their 21st Century Singapore Sling that is way more delicious in my opinion! And I’m always obsessed with their smoky drinks here like the Grilled Old Fashioned that even comes with a buttered yellowed corn, adding to this rich and punchy drink!

Their kitchen also opens till 3am everyday, so it’s the perfect spot for some yummy food, with a nice range of items from Tuna Belly Tartare, to a Ravioli in Sage and Lavender Butter, and even Porcini Mushroom Tortellinis with Blue Danish Cheese and Jamon!

But their craziest drinks have got to be from the gastronomic section! My personal favourite, the ‘Chazuke’ Sour, a play on the Japanese Ochazuke dish, they serve it up with actual smoked bonito flakes to add a savoury tone to this smooth whisky sour that just works perfectly! There’s even The Broccoli Hour which is like a green juice in cocktail form, and somehow that herbal grassy flavours were so addictive!

💕 Today marks the 5 year anniversary since the very first time we went out. Five years ago today, I went out with the woman who would change my life forever. What started as just “a night out to get to know each other” turned into the beginning of the most beautiful journey of my life 🥰

To the woman that I now call my wife — thank you for choosing me, for standing by me, for loving me through every high and low. You are my safe place, my biggest inspiration, and the reason I want to be better every single day ☺️

I don’t always post much here, but today I want the world to know that nothing matters to me more than you. I love you endlessly, and I can’t wait to keep writing our story together — one year, one day, one moment at a time 😚

My first time in Korea couldn’t have been more special — from the energy of Myeongdong to the incredible bar community we got to meet, every moment was filled with discovery, inspiration, and warmth.

A huge thank you to @soowonopa_sookhee for making this trip so extraordinary. From morning till night, he showed us the very best of Seoul and made sure we didn’t miss a thing. His generosity, passion, and hospitality left us in awe — not to mention, he’s an outstanding bartender and even better human being.

It was amazing to spend time with new and old friends and every day has been so much fun with @shot_kim @k_dol_je @tobbig_shin

This is my favourite hidden bar in Singapore! @thebackdropsg is tucked right in Orchard Road, and serves up some of the coolest and tastiest cocktails around! One of the highlights for me is always their Percolated Espresso Martini, which is perfectly clear, put together like a science experiment by your table, and is extremely tasty! The crazy thing is, they’re the pioneers of this technique!

On top of that, they’ve also got yummy bar bites like the Golden Caviar Pillow, Steak & Caviar Bites, Hokkaido Scallop and Spanish Octopus, and their kitchen is open till 3am every day!

Another one of their recent creations is their Open Flame Cocktails! Creating sub zero temperature drinks using fire, it messes with your mind, but creates some punchy tasty drinks like the Monsieur Gaudin that was so smooth!

Since the birth of cocktails, bartenders have pushed boundaries—new ingredients, new machines, new methods. But at The Backdrop, we took a different approach 📜📝

Instead of chasing the latest toys, we turned back the clock. Hundreds of years. 🕰️  We dug through manuscripts and ancient techniques to uncover the lost art of true extraction, percolation, and transformation. ✨

The result? Two techniques never done before.

⭐️ Percolated Cocktails – An entirely new way to make cocktails with percolated flavors, no rotovaps, no centrifuges, just pure technique. 🔥 Open Flames – Fire, used not for spectacle, but to unlock flavors in a way the modern world forgot.

Our lab? A mortar and pestle. Our tools? Knowledge, patience, and centuries of wisdom.

This isn’t mixology. This is redefining the craft. Step back in time and taste the future.

💥 The most mind-blowing part of all the innovations that we are sharing with the world, is that we do not use and have never used, any fancy equipment whatsoever 🤩 (No Rotavap/Rotovap - No Centrifuges - No re-Distillations - Nothing) 💥🤯 Just amazing ideas, carefully selected botanicals, a mortar, a pestle and a lot of research ✨💕
