More from the little but mighty Kodak Ektar 📸🎞️

This time around I was shooting on a roll of film that was 100 ISO, and half the photos I had to scrap bc they were too dark, even with flash. Inside or outside, make sure that the sun is touching the subject you’re trying to shoot, lol.

BUT lesson learned, probably won’t be purchasing a roll of 100 ISO again. Here are a few of the shots I managed to salvage from our trip up to NY. taken in Catskills Mountains, NY by @dariusbounds

So a buddy of mine recommended I get a film camera, specifically the @kodak Ektar 📸 as a good entry point. For some reason I was scared to dive into film. But…I decided to pull the trigger and it’s hands down the most fun I’ve ever had with a camera. We take it everywhere. Just point + shoot. Nada else.

Camera: Kodak Ektar H35
Film: Kodak Ektar 100 (Shoots well on bright sunny days, not so good in low light without the flash)
Editing: None, lol.

Teaching Me How To Love

I was telling myself daily, I just don’t enjoy this parenting thing…  My wife felt the energy and I’m sure my kids did too.  Then, within a few months earlier this year, life came at me hard…  A wake up call that flipped a switch, making me value what I had in front of me in a completely different way.  I even started rediscovering my faith in God, which has led me down a completely new path of being a husband and a father.   My wife and I have never felt closer, and I just can’t help but smile at these beautiful little girls when I see them.   This is a path I wasn’t sure I’d ever reach, but…here I am..learning how to love again, and damn it feels good…

Joy in Simple Moments

All we said was, “Wanna go play in the pool?”

Father, Daughter Pt. 2

This little girl blows my mind daily…
Now she’s solving puzzles, translating Spanish, and helping pull espresso shots (for me and Cait) like it’s nothing. Basically pushes me out of the way.

As parents, we all know—it’s all gas, no brakes.
This was a moment when the kids went down for a nap, so I grabbed the camera and dipped. 📸🏃🏾‍♂️💨
Ended up by the water, just shooting.
Didn’t plan on slowing down, but it happened anyway.
Those peaceful moments hit different.
