Oh memories… Seeing this photo reminded me of how much I do enjoy skating! Mt. Tabor is such a great time and so fun to skate with everyone. Would be amazing if it came back.

I haven’t stepped on a board for about a year or so. I should probably do that soon, before it rains…. Anyhow enjoy my theme song from this race - me and @di_zzy_j rocked out to it all weekend. by @darkmistressofspeed

If this post has caught you off guard, my apologies. I thought being raw and real felt appropriate for the occasion.

The last few months have been a roller coaster of physical pain and emotional moments after an unexpected visit to the ER due to intense pain like I have never experienced in my life! Worse than child birth…. The results of a CT Scan revealed that, for what must have been years, my body was functioning with a rare condition of the gallbladder that the doctors noted as “an anomaly.”

That was the day that I learned my gallbladder had to be removed to mitigate the 22% increase in the chances of gallbladder cancer that I would otherwise face. Statistically, folks do not survive gallbladder cancer.

Writing this is difficult…..

Needless to say, today is day 5 after surgery. The photos show the 4 incisions and 1 hole that the surgeon made to perform the procedure using a robot. I provided a photo of the robot for reference.

I am on the mend and healing well. My mom, Seth and Morgan are taking good care of me. Today, I am going to step outside for the first time and go for a walk.

For those wondering why things have been silent, thank you for your patience. I figured word must have gotten out about my surgery and wanted to give clarity. I am here and will get back to it soon. 🙏🏻

Now that I have sustained 5 shots to the mid section, I will be getting my Thug Life tattoo 😜 I’ve earned it!

Thank you to my close friends and family for all the love!! 🖤

This is just a moment I will look back on with gratitude. One that no doubt motivates me to keep doing, keep loving and keep on keepin it real 😘 by @darkmistressofspeed

Our Toys for Tots drive may be over, but the spirit behind it isn’t.

Huge thanks to everyone who showed up, donated, and helped us turn a simple idea into real joy for local families. Community always comes first at Eco Auto, and we’re proud to be part of it 💚 by @darkmistressofspeed

People have been asking about my silence and what I’ve been up to. For the curious, the stalkers, the friends and the lovers I figured it’s about time to let you all in on the secret.

I never would have dreamt that I would be speaking to groups of EV Curious people about the history of the automotive industry and my multigenerational family heritage of all things automotive. Well, here I am! As the Business Manager, alongside two amazing women set on making waves, I am building an exclusive EV buying experience in the PNW.

@ecoautonw is a trailblazing, female led company that I am proud to be part of building - literally from the ground up! Our doors opened in October. We are fully charged for the holiday season! Come visit.

We offer a concierge buying experience and the PNW’s first EV only Service Center.

Last slide is me dancing with my Dad. Enjoy! 😉 by @darkmistressofspeed

Who says we only care about EV performance? 😉

Shoutout to everyone who braved the wind, rain, and leaves at hole 16 this weekend!!

We’ll be thinking about your… results 😂

I’ve had several people ask why I didn’t race at Maryhill, last weekend. Many of the ladies and my friends were bummed to not see me on the track.

The truth is, this past year has been difficult and full of change that required all of my attention. Competing for the last 5 years in a row, to make the USA Team twice cost a shit load of money.

Was it worth it? Hell YES!

But, I had to put my entire life on hold to focus solely on training and racing, as well as all the behind the scenes support that USA DSA needed.

I got to Italy and ended up more sick than I had ever been in my life, with a serious lung infection that required immediate care while there. I was run down and exhausted, trying to do everything. That was my clue that I had to make changes.

So, I decided to focus on me and my family this year.

I’m not done competing. This isn’t the end, just a recalibration.

My focus is family, my health, getting my finances right and building USA DSA into the organization that I envisioned from the beginning.

Thank you to everyone who has ever supported me along the way. Without you all, my dreams and accomplishments would not have been the same.

Had a great time skating in the sunshine with the Tacoma Crew yesterday.

It was super cool of @mlwadester to come out and snap a few pictures!

Channeling the serpentine energy.

That time the snake from Maryhill came all the way home with me.

Was feeling nostalgic a few weeks ago. The whispers of vintage style and simpler days caressed my mind with gentle memories of those I’ve loved and lost. My Grandmother Morgan was there, teaching me to swim, showing me the kind of patience only years and having seen too much can forge. The wisdom in her eyes, the softness of her touch, the silky melody of her words smoothed by love and pain. Her presence is still - it’s cradled in my heart. She continues to teach me, and that is the power of an ancestor.

Sylvia Morgan was a Puerto Rican woman from New York, raised in a convent, married at 16 to my wild and crazy Austrian Jew grandfather. She birthed 9 children! She played the piano, had a ferret named Hootie, had class & style for days, and possessed a way with words that haunts me to this day. by @darkmistressofspeed
