Angry Pixie & Dame Snap.
I’ve not been sharing too much recently due to there being so much visual noise on this platform and in our lives generally. However, just reiterating the human in what I do and in this case character drawings by my fair hand with a 4B pencil for The Magic Faraway Tree. These were done way, way back in early preproduction in 2024 for PD Alexandra Walker and Director @yesdrs
So much joy.
Two character concepts of a great many on the project. I will post further images in due course.

I’m very pleased to share that I shall be at LightBox Expo @lightboxexpo in Pasadena later this month. Delighted to be sitting on a panel discussing all things ‘Wicked - For Good’ alongside the team of costume concept artists who brought this film into a reality. Panel takes place on Saturday 24th. I’ll also be undertaking some portfolio reviews on both the Friday and Sunday. Hopefully see some of you there - come and say hello.

For those of you who may have missed this…..I have a couple of my ‘CRUCIFIXION’ posters remaining from my museum show earlier this year.
£35.00 plus P&P They are sizeable at A1 in size and a beautiful addition to any wall - even if I do say so myself.

What can I say that already hasn’t been said about the extraordinary week end that is the opening of BIRDS IN ART at the wonderful Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum of Art @woodsonart ……Always a huge honour to be amidst the selected number of avian artists with the 51st show being no exception. Thanks to the Woodson family who make the event so very engaging combined with the hospitality and vision of the museum staff. There is no art event in my experience that even comes close to both experience, sheer enjoyment and ultimately friendships that evolve as a result.
This year I am thrilled to share that my watercolour, ‘Season’s Crossing’ will join the touring exhibition for the coming year. Thank you to all those who follow and support my voice in painting, it is much appreciated.
We rounded out our visit with a couple of extra days in Northern Door County- a treat in itself and worth a visit if you happen to be thinking of a destination whilst travelling through Wisconsin.
Onwards and fingers crossed friends made come together at the same gathering next year……

Not too much to show at the moment so thought I’d just throw it back to 1987. Three years into a professional freelance career and beginning to undertake jobs I could only dream of when I was younger.
In this particular case this was an early video game cover loosely based on Mad Max #madmax executed in watercolour on CS2 board.
What was interesting in this scenario is that the client supplied no reference as to the character designs within the game and so leaving it up to me to both concept and ultimately design. One might say this was my first venture into costume concept and build. I had a mate of mine model, I constructed the costume ( for what it is) and shot the reference on Kodak 200…….Years before the rise of any digital media. I continue to be surprised at how well the image remains undated in many ways.
