WHAT A WOMAN!!!

Every year I have a front row seat and get to watch Arlene create her annual Daddy’s Girl Planner!
Yes this is a business venture, Yes it is a commercial product, yes, yes, yes…
BUT. . . I get to see the other side.
I watch a girl use what God has placed in her hand - and turn it into something He can use.
I watch her sit and draw every page by hand for 3-4 months of the year.
I watch her pray about declarations, and scriptures and themes to put in the planner…
I watch her trust God for a specific word that will resonate with the women who use this planner (and she has to do that a year in advance)
I watch her rely on God for cover colour inspiration, marketing strategy, and of course - Provision (for every every every part of this project).
But the most amazing part is getting to watch God breathe life into this project every year as the mandate of Daddy’s Girl unfolds.

Your book isn’t going to write itself.
And the longer you keep saying:
“I’ll start when I have more time.”
“I need to learn more first.”
“I’m not ready yet.”

…the more expensive your dream becomes.

Because one day, you’ll look back and realize you had the idea.
You had the story.
You had the voice.

You just kept waiting for permission to begin.

So ask yourself:

What is it costing you to keep your book inside your head instead of putting it into the world?

Stop waiting for the perfect time.

Open the document.
Write the first page.
Take the first step.

This weekend was rough!!! I had to work… I shouted at the kids (a whole lot)… there’s water issues in our road… the pool is stressing me out… I dream about my deadlines… and… and.. and…
I went to bed honestly feeling quite down….
But then this morning I just got my mind a bit quiet.. and found myself realising that I was a bit ungrateful!
I have the best wife in the world… the sweetest, cutest kids, a loving family… a beautiful home, work that allows me to provide and live… and a God who sees me, knows me and has so much good in store for me. Sometimes prayer and some silence doesn’t change the situation - it changes our perspective! I am loved, I am blessed! I am ready for the week ahead! And I am grateful 🙏🏽 by @darrenaugust

Let’s get this word in our hearts!!!
I used to know this entire psalm of by heart! My goal is to be able to recite it fully again by month end. And getting the whole family to learn it too.
Ps @joshuamccauley has been teaching on psalm 91 this month and it is so fitting for the times we’re living in. by @darrenaugust

Thirteen years ago, during one of the hardest seasons of my life, all I had was an idea... and a prayer.

I trusted God to place something in my hands that I could faithfully steward—something that would provide for my family while making a lasting impact in the lives of others.

In October 2014, I published A Teacher Changed My Life with no publishing experience, no marketing knowledge, and no guarantee of success. Just faith.

Today, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to share that more than 10,000 copies have been sold. ❤️📚

In South Africa, this is a milestone few authors ever reach, and I don’t take a single copy for granted.
