Still trying to find the words after an unforgettable week representing the Dominican Republic once again—this time in Peru for the SAR @sudamericarugby HSBC Qualifier.

To play against some of the best competition in the world was both humbling and eye-opening. Though we didn’t come away with the win, we made history—finishing top 4 in our first-ever appearance at this tournament.

Massive shoutout to @black.goats.rugby (Rafa) and everyone else involved, for putting everything together and making the entire tour feel seamless. As well as @federacion_peruana_de_rugby for being amazing hosts. Coach @juansgiraldorugby —thank you for believing in the boys and me all the way through. 🇩🇴🇨🇴

This is more than just a result. It’s a step forward for rugby on our beautiful island. I’m proud to be a part of this team—not just for what we are now, but for what we’re building for the future.

Eyes ahead to the Central American Games in Santo Domingo 2026, where we’ll be fighting for gold on home soil, with nothing but faith in God to guide us.

Representing my beloved Dominican Republic on the international stage, playing the sport I love, is a privilege beyond words. To not only wear these colors but also make history as champions, claiming the first major rugby title for our nation, is a dream come true. Together, we showed the world our strength, our unity, and our unyielding passion, dominating with an unforgettable 157-0 performance.

A heartfelt thank you to @dominicana.rugby and @colimdo for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to contribute to this historic moment. To my new brothers and sisters on this journey, you are now and forever my Taino family❤️.This victory is more than a trophy—it’s a symbol of what we can achieve when we play with heart, pride, and love for our people. ¡Por la patria!

Algunas medallas se ganan en un fin de semana. Otras representan años de sacrificio, trabajo y negarse a ser descartados.

Esta representa años de jugadores y personal luchando detrás de escena para construir algo más grande — superando obstáculos, enfrentando a quienes intentaron derribarnos, a quienes nos subestimaron y teniendo que demostrar constantemente que el rugby dominicano pertenece en este nivel.

Finalmente tuvimos la oportunidad de hacerlo en casa, en Santo Domingo, y nos llevamos una medalla de bronce.

Después de una dolorosa derrota 12–7 contra Colombia en la semifinal(my bros), regresamos para vencer a Trinidad y Tobago en tiempo extra y conseguir el tercer lugar.

Estoy increíblemente orgulloso de mis hermanos y de todo lo que fue necesario para llegar hasta aquí.

Un agradecimiento especial al Coach @merica_bond por confiar en mí para liderar al equipo como creador de juego y darme la libertad de expresarme como jugador. Ese nivel de confianza es poco común, y estoy muy agradecido por ello. Gracias por exigirnos todos los días y hacernos entender que hay niveles en este juego.

Gracias a @colimdo y a todos en la Federación @dominicana.rugby que trabajaron incansablemente para hacer realidad estos Juegos. Y a nuestros médicos y fisioterapeutas — sinceramente, el mejor equipo médico con el que he trabajado.

Esta medalla pertenece a todos los que han creído en el rugby dominicano y han seguido luchando por él mucho antes de que existiera este foco de atención.

Nos dudaron. Seguimos trabajando.
Nos dieron por vencidos. Seguimos apareciendo.
Ahora tenemos algo que demostrarlo.

Hay muchas cosas hermosas en la vida, pero no existe un orgullo más grande que representar a tu país.

Vestir estos colores, cantar el himno y dejarlo todo en la cancha por la República Dominicana es un privilegio que nunca daré por sentado. Cada partido, cada sacrificio y cada momento hacen que este sueño valga la pena.

Gracias a todos los que han sido parte de este camino. Seguimos trabajando, seguimos creciendo y seguimos dejando el corazón por nuestra bandera. @dominicana.rugby @black.goats.rugby @ligaderugbydebogota

Those kids have taught me that leadership isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about showing up every day, setting the standard, and caring for the people around you.
