I was once again blessed with the opportunity to play for my country this past weekend at Bogota 7’s. I would like to thank God first , my coaches, my teammates, and everyone who was in attendance for creating such a special experience I was able to be apart of. I am greatful that I got to meet and be surrounded by such amazing people while playing the sport I love.

Not many people truly understand the kind of love rugby creates. It’s more than just a game—it’s the early mornings, the sacrifices, the setbacks, the lessons, and the people you meet along the way. Once rugby becomes part of your life, it stays with you.
The last time I had the honor of representing the Dominican Republic was around 2019–2020. Around that time, I was told that if I wanted to wear the Dominican jersey again, I needed to improve my game. It wasn’t easy to hear, but it became motivation. I kept working, kept learning, and trusted the process.
Fast forward to 2026. I was fortunate enough to win a tournament with the Army Rugby team, and shortly after, I received the opportunity to represent the Dominican Republic once again. To put that jersey back on, share the field with an incredible group of athletes, and represent my culture, my family meant more than anyone can imagine
I learned something from every teammate and every opponent I competed against. To top it all off, I was blessed to score my first international try against Guatemala—a moment I’ll never forget.
This journey reminded me that the best things in life take time. Growth doesn’t happen overnight, and every setback can become part of your comeback if you keep putting in the work.
Proud is an understatement. Filled with gratitude. Filled with joy. Gracias a uno de los mejor fotógrafo @publicadrian1
