Some dramas you watch. Some dramas you have to sit with.

A Love Other Than Yours is very much the latter.

It’s quiet, intimate and sometimes painfully uncomfortable — the kind of story where you may find yourself getting annoyed with the characters, understanding them, changing your mind about them, and then wondering what you would do in their place.

And I think that’s why I’m so invested already. 😭

This one is for people who don’t mind a drama that takes its time with its characters and their choices.

If you’re watching, I need to know: are you rooting for them to stay together? 👀

Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi may have misspoken when he said he and his wife, Margaret, are godparents to Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s children, the media aide to Anambra First Lady Nonye Soludo has clarified.

Obi had made the comment on Friday while speaking at the 22nd Conference of the Nigerian Guild of Editors in Enugu, saying he and Soludo remained close despite their political differences.

However, Daniel Ezeigwe, media aide to First Lady Nonye Soludo, said the claim had created a misleading impression and clarified the actual relationship between the two families.

According to Ezeigwe, Peter Obi is not the godfather of any of Soludo’s children.

He explained that Dr Nonye Soludo is the confirmation godmother to Peter Obi’s daughter, while Margaret Obi, Peter Obi’s wife, is the baptismal godmother to one of Soludo’s daughters.

“Neither Mr Obi nor Professor Soludo has served as a godparent to the other’s children,” Ezeigwe said.

He added that Obi may have simply misspoken, but the clarification became necessary after the video of his remarks circulated widely and generated enquiries.

The First Lady’s aide also said the relationship between the two families remains cordial and urged the public to disregard any impression that Peter Obi is the godfather to any of Soludo’s children. by @datswasup

Old Trafford Turns Prayer Ground as 50,000 Worshippers Gather for NSPPD UK Conference

Videos from Manchester show thousands of worshippers gathered inside Old Trafford Stadium for the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference led by Nigerian pastor Jerry Eze on Saturday, September 26.

The event, organised by Streams of Joy International, was expected to draw about 50,000 people, according to Greater Manchester’s transport authority, which issued special travel arrangements for the gathering.

Old Trafford, the iconic home of Manchester United with a capacity of about 74,000, was transformed from a football stadium into a massive prayer and worship venue as believers travelled from across the UK and beyond.

The free conference had required advance registration, but demand was so high that the official Eventbrite listing was marked “Sold out.” Reports also said some people took to social media in search of spare places after registration closed.

Pastor Jerry Eze led the congregation in prayers and worship, with gospel ministers including Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan, Sunmisola Agbebi and Kaestrings also featured at the gathering. by @datswasup

Black Market has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the largest audience at a film screening in a single location, after 51,000 people watched the movie at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.

The feat surpassed the previous record of 43,624, set in 2015 by Felix Manalo in the Philippines. Guinness World Records confirmed 51,000 viewers as the qualifying attendance, with only those who remained from the beginning to the end of the screening counted.

The historic screening was organised by Rixel Studios in collaboration with FilmOne Studios, Signet Ring Studios and Switch Visuals Production, with stars including Lateef Adedimeji, Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman, Omowunmi Dada, Scarlet Gomez and Susan Pwajok among the cast.
