Here’s a drill I use for presentations. You can try doubles or singles. Mix it up. Start at 5 yards, followed by intervals of five yards out to 25. Head and eyes straight to force locating the target after the signal. Up range starts are important for timing the draw. Always practice turning both into and away from your holster. Optic is the new, battery powered OSight C (generous window size) on a 509 LS Edge.

Our beloved “Super Dave” Harrington passed away. I’ll always remember our times together. Here’s one that dates back to the spring of 2000, when we first met. by @dave.sevigny

Last week I competed at the Carry Optics Nationals. The greatest gain was taking some valuable lessons back with me. When I began competing, pushing myself to a higher level was important. It was needed then and is now. Here’s one video, the first stage of the match. What’s here is characteristic of most of them. Some right and wrong moves and bit loose on points. Time to fix it. Win or lose, keep reaching and learn from it all. by @dave.sevigny

Thanks Lafe K. and all who contributed to the Bluegrass Championship. It was great squadding with my friends from GA and making some new ones.
This is the only video I have from stage 10 (thanks Tyler T.) Making steady gains in recent weeks. That’s the process.

All of these are acceptable views to score a hit. Staying with the dot once the gun is up (two-handed) is a skill most can accomplish with little practice. But how sharp are you one handed? Leaning around a wall? Seated?
Where a large optic window can help rescue your time: (1) A missed presentation, usually from an awkward position. (2) The grip is off when grabbing or repositioning, or has loosened in recoil. (3) Eye lead was trailing slightly. Losing the dot will hurt your speed like nothing else when it matters most. Be conscious of these potential hazards and they’ll become rare for you. Having a large optic window is the first step. @osightworld by @dave.sevigny

Completed another brief training cycle and USPSA National match. This was the most recent return in over 2 years. I ended up a close second place overall after 16 stages. Congrats to John Vlieger on his first Single Stack National championship. He’s a hard worker and deserved it. It takes alot of dedication just to show up and I highly respect anyone who puts in the work. As most of you know, my activity in shooting sports has been limited and sporadic the past 7 years due to surgeries and other major obstacles. I’d like to thank the Lord and to glorify Him in every step of my life, and to send a heartfelt thanks to Atlanta Arms and Pro Ears for supporting me, along with my family and friends. The list is very long and would be hard to fit all I want to share in one post. @atlanta_arms @pro_ears @sevignyperformance by @dave.sevigny
