Dublin 2026.

Just a few from an all too-short trip to Dublin the other week, wanted to stay for much longer but the body had other ideas.

Still felt great to be out with the camera and a great catch up with @swendeluk and @_timbingham_. I also got to meet @carina_streetphotography and see her incredible work in the pubs of Ireland which has given me a lot of inspiration. Next year I will definitely go back up for a second day, hopefully in much better health too 🤞🤒

To everyone who went to @dsp_festival I hope you really enjoyed it and hopefully catch you there next time✌️

Oldies.

The evenings are getting brighter, hoping to make a long awaited reappearance on Cork streets real soon, but until then you will have to suffer through some oldies from the archives. Cork 2021-2024

Went through the archive to find some verticals for a change, I've posted most of them before at some stage but a lot of you probably weren't following me back then so it'll be new to you😂 bit under the weather at home this week so it's given me time to try organise some photos, and finish Pluribus and the second season of Squid Game. Any TV or film recommendations I'm all ears.

Happy New Year everyone!

A tough year photo wise for me, boys getting bigger and harder to photograph but I'll never stop trying! I love how they've been closer this year though and tried to photograph them together as much as possible, they've both progressed so much in all different ways🥰

Between the pub and the kids I was kept going creatively but still missing being out on the street like I was in previous years, no idea what 2026 holds but I'll have a camera everywhere I go just in case🤞

Here's to a happy and healthy 2026 for all of you and your families. Thanks to everyone who reached out to me this year regarding health issues etc, really appreciate it, even if I didn't reply for weeks at a time🙈

Dublin 2023-2025.

Been awhile since I posted, not been out photographing street much this year, mainly focused on my pub documentary work and the kids.

Feeling much better lately than I have for months, few diet changes and medication changes plus more exercise and I'm in a better place both mentally and physically. So long may that last!

Anyway, here's a song that's on repeat non stop for me, and a few images from Dublin over the years. Left out a few favourites, don't want to be spoiling ye😂

Here's to 2026 and seeing me out in Cork with a camera again🤞

Don't usually mix locations but I don't really even know why sometimes, if I overthink an Instagram post I'll end up posting nothing for months! Anyway, these are all from this year and if you've a favourite let me know.

Fun fact, the gentleman in frames 4 and 8 is Tony MacSwiney a relative of Terence MacSwiney and Mary MacSwiney who was a TD during the War of Independence. Definitely worth reading up on, I'd be interested to hear from anyone who either knows Tony or knows about Terence and Mary.

London 2025

Last week I was supposed to see @jefflynneselo farewell gig, had never looked forward to something so much but unfortunately Jeff got quite sick and made the correct decision to cancel the gig and retire, after giving me my favourite music, my favourite song Wishing from the album Discovery will play as you read my ramblings!

Despite some pretty major health issues(Myofascial Pain Syndrome is the current diagnosis theorised by my pain specialist) I decided because I'd booked my flights I'd make the most of it and fly over for the day. London was absolutely jam packed so it was really difficult trying to capture scenes without people scattered everywhere but I must say I really enjoyed the day, caught a bit of the London 10k first thing, had a couple of games of Chess at @londonchessfest @londonchesscommunity and prompted me to get Chess going in @thegallowsbar again.

The highlight was the amount of amazing and friendly people I met that were so happy to be photographed and I left really looking forward to coming back, which I hopefully will do really soon, and maybe start focusing on a body of work in London that I can work on over the next few years alongside Cork and Dublin. Realistically with my life I don't see myself jetting off all over the world😂😂

Big shout out to @thepaulharrison who met up with me for lunch and I managed to give him the copy of my zine I promised him 6 months ago.

Cork, 2023-25.

Been awhile, lots going on so no time to shoot, it's pretty tedious trying to find work I haven't posted before or more than once!😂

Currently in the middle of changing medication so hopefully it's successful and I'll be back out shooting more regularly as I miss it an awful lot, chronic pain has taken over my life recently so I'm desperate to take back control myself, unfortunately I'll need medication to do so but it could be worse.

The glass is always half full.

Dublin, 2025

Had the pleasure of travelling up to Dublin for the second iteration of the @dsp_festival which proved to be very worthwhile and the festival has grown exponentially in just one year. Famous names like @martinparrstudio to name probably the most well known (after @mikechudley 😂)

Even though it was a really short trip I met up with some IG friends I've made over the last few years and some new ones, Mike as mentioned above, @thepaulharrison @zoomento, @richardmorganphotostudio @hasanyikiciphotography @thomas_hackenberg_photo @thethomaskealy @michael.eugster.photo @wintels_photography @colnagoeps @on_the_street_with_anna @silverowlphoto @jones_of_nyc @dont_smile_nyc @optical_storyteller @anufee

Also bumped into @melissaoshaughnessy on Grafton st and she was as wonderful and charming as expected. Met @rammynarula also for a few mins but unfortunately didn't get to have a proper chat this time around😭 bumped into @_timbingham_ also so it's always great to catch up with Tim, often calls to me in Mallow when he's passing, check out his new podcast @talkingframes_podcast

A massive congrats to Des and Paul for putting on an outstanding exhibition once again, you've really outdone yourselves and it's great to see you guys put Ireland on the map for street photography.

Sincere apologies if I've forgotten anyone, I have serious memory issues(really) and this is all I can remember for now.
