🎶From the northwest corner…

We’re so incredibly Grateful to @jayblakesberg and his team for coming to Bend and turning their lens toward High Desert Law—not simply toward the lawyers, but toward the clients, families, and stories that give this work its meaning.

All the years combine in a photograph: what someone has lived through, who stood beside them, and the road that brought them here. Jay has a rare gift for seeing all of that in a single frame.

Listening for the secret, searching for the sound, Jay knew where to look. He saw beyond the surface and captured the people, connection, resilience, and heart of HDL.

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile. Thank you, Jay, for a real good time. 🎶📷⚡️

My mother’s mother,
Which is Gram to me,
And GiGi to my children,
Does not believe in god.

She believes in her heritage
And her culture
Where she came from
And where we’re going

She believes that

Time

and

Love

Can be expressed in words we have,
But truly have no limits on the depths
Or heights to which they may be given.

And

Time and love
are the most precious gifts
One can give,
Far more immeasurable to money and material things.

She believes
In using your eyes
To truly see what is hidden in the big picture.
And following your heart
So that you enjoy what you do.

She believes in service.
In helping those less fortunate
And lending a hand to those trying to make the world a better place.

She believes in curiosity
Seeing the world
And learning from
Other cultures

She believes in
Large family dinners
With discussions about
Who we are
And what we stand for.
And on holidays,
Telling the stories of our ancestors.
So that we may
Never forget
And more importantly
Be proud of who we are.

She believes in her
Daughters
Their husbands
Her grandkids
Their partners
And her great grandchildren.
She believes Kings and Queens eggs,
Singing and reading to us.
In telling stories
That nurture our growth,
And having frank conversations when we go astray while we grow.

And when we get older,
Asking questions to point us in the right direction.

But she also, wholeheartedly, believes in us.

From the bottom of the ocean,
To the top of the sky.

My mother’s mother
Does not believe in god.

I believe in her.

And god, to me,
Is the sum of all of the above.

Happy birthday, Gram. I miss you, so. by @dave_rosen

My uncle and aunt took me to my first show when I was 15. Thirty-five years later, we’re still listening to the music play.

Cups are full. Absolute barn burners Thursday and Friday. Saturday’s Eyes->Terrapin->D/S->LLR with @lisa_l_rosen landed right in our hearts.

Love is real, NFA.
