29 and still pretending I’m a mermaid 🤭

“Hapit na lapas sa kalendaryo”
Translation: almost past the calendar
A phrase I hear a lot back home. It means you’re almost older than the numbers on the calendar.
It’s usually used to tease someone turning 28–31 and remind them that marriage and kids are apparently due before you turn 32 🙃
— and I’m here pretending I’m a fish 😆

Thank you to everyone who took the time to wish me a happy birthday. I felt loved and celebrated. I appreciate you all big time!! 🥰🫶🏼

Also, huge thank you to my chica @lauraleiter @lauraleiterphoto for making this birthday mermaid moment look this dreamy. You’re the best!! I hope you know that! 😘 by @davenejane

This was such an awesome experience! I loved basically being by ourselves all morning, on the lake and in the slot canyon. 1.5 hour kayak > 1 hour hike into canyon > 1 hour hike out > 1.5 hour Kayak.
