But despite everything going wrong, you still have a great day out with some amazing friends!

@iamian71483 took the lead and put up this route called Jeep’s Chimney at Lower Hawksbill. Not quite a chimney but not a slab - rated 5.10 on a dry day, this wet climb proved quite the interesting warmup route for our crew. Yesterday was a killer day! Went up some fun climbs, did some spicy leads with little protection. Got lost on route, found new routes, DIDN’T GET SUNBURNED! It was a great day!

Looking to escape that summer heat? I would highly recommend checking out Ship Rock. Only a couple hours north of Charlotte and nestled next a beautiful mountain town, it’s definitely worth the visit!

One of my newest favorite climbs, Harpoon, is a wonderfully fun left leaning crack. Graded as a 5.10a, it was first put up by Jim Okel, Tom Howard, and Lee Carter in 1981.
