9 billion streams. ✨

A number almost too big to imagine - built from countless songs, sessions, decisions, emotions, and tiny moments spent listening closely.

Muso.AI now connects my work as an engineer and producer to more than 9 billion streams worldwide.

Behind every stream is a listener.
Behind every song is a story.
And behind every story is a team of artists, musicians, producers, engineers, labels, and wonderful people who trusted me with their music.

Deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. Music travels further than we ever can — and being allowed to help shape that journey still feels like magic.

Thank you. 🤍🎶

When stories learn to breathe in sound. 🎬🎶💫 Immersive mixing is about gravity. Pulling emotions into orbit, placing every note where it belongs in time and space. msm Berlin. by @david_merkl

LAMENTO carries its title like a question, not an answer.

The trombone has known the lament for centuries. It has accompanied the dead, announced the apocalypse and cried out in the streets of New Orleans. We know how that sounds. This album asks what that heritage can become if you take it seriously without repeating it.

300 copies, 12“ vinyl. Also on all digital platforms.
Order via Bandcamp, link in bio.

#trombone #posaune #trombon #lowbrass #basstrombone Large dark brown letters on a warm gray background read "NOW" at the top and "ON VINYL" at the bottom. In the center, the LAMENTO record sleeve: a black-and-white multiple exposure of a man walking with a trombone, his figure repeated across the image. The title LAMENTO is printed in the lower left corner. A black vinyl record is pulled halfway out of the sleeve to the right, its center label reading LAMENTO. by @david_merkl

Some rooms don’t just reflect sound.
They translate emotion into air. ✨

Over the last days at @kupferhausplanegg , we captured immersive music and sound design that felt less like recording… and more like carefully bottling atmosphere itself.

Deep gratitude to @marcohertenstein, @philjundt, @freddy_kempf, András Adorján, @dphefti and @sharonbezalyflute and for the trust, the artistry, and the beautiful chaos of creation.
And to the Kupferhaus for sounding absolutely unreal. 🎻🌫️

I am truly grateful for this outstanding crew:

💖Wir lieben seinen Sound 🎶 und natürlich auch seine Socken 🧦
Was für eine überwältigende Dolby Atmos Studio-Vorführung von @david_merkl von @_msm_studios in Berlin 💖🎧 💖 Der Sound ging @lennybrucejr und mir durch Mark & Bein 🤩

We are ab jetzt hooked von Immersive Sound 🎶💖🎶

Somewhere between composition, architecture and controlled chaos.
Currently arranging music for an artist and already thinking in three dimensions from the very first notes. Immersive music starts long before the mix. 🌌

Still humbled that shaping sound has become my everyday life. by @david_merkl

TOLLE NACHRICHTEN! EIN NEUER SONG VON @impulsotenors IST UNTERWEGS! 🚀

Und was für ein Song das ist! Der wird euch umhauen! 🧨

Ein Titel voller Power und Lebensfreude! 💥

Es wird gigantisch!

Freut ihr euch drauf?

.

GREAT NEWS! A NEW SONG FROM @impulsotenors IS ON ITS WAY! 🚀

And what a song it is! It’s going to blow you away! 🧨

A track full of power and joie de vivre! 💥

During the so-called mixing stage, the song takes shape as all the individual elements – such as our voices, the orchestra and all the other rhythms and sounds – are brought together in harmony… ✨

One of the most important steps in music production.

I’m so grateful to have the dream team for this stage in the form of the wonderful @davidmerkl and @_msm_studios. What a wonderful collaboration! 🙏🏻

It’s going to be massive!

Are you looking forward to it?

Some music enters a studio like weather.
Quiet at first. Then suddenly the entire room bends around it.

Today, @laszlotenorvienna from @impulsotenors was at my cave at @_msm_studios for mixing sessions on material that still lives behind closed curtains and muted export folders.

We spent hours chasing invisible things: gravity inside harmonies, the temperature of a vocal, the exact distance between intimacy and cinema.

Music production sometimes feels like bringing light inside sound. 🌌

Can’t wait until this music is allowed to leave the shadows.
